If you are the type of person who wants to find and try the true authentic places where you go on your trips, then O Mastro is one of those place you have to try in Cascais. It doesn't get much more authentic then this. How can you be sure, that this is the real thing. Follow the locals!!! This... More

This is an of the beaten trach restaurant in Cascais where you can eat for a reasonable price some decent food. My wife went for the sardines and she got a massve plate. The house wine is ok but nothing special. If you want to eat some regular Portugese cuisine for a small price, it's worht to check it out.

Really interesting food but the waiter/owner? kept taking the menu away from us and deciding what we should eat. I wanted prawns with piri-piri but before we knew it we had a selection of very expensive cold crustaceans and goose barnacles placed before us. Admittedly my Portuguese is limited but I think I made myself fairly clear. It was a... More

Excellent shrimp with rice with garlic. Nowhere else will you find this dish. Superb. Plus the attention given by Ramos, the professional waiter that he is. Out of the tourist traps of Cascais. Have to visit! During the week, they serve you the couvert, plus the seafood dish, plus the desert, a garaffe of red wine and coffee, for 8.5... More

Mastro is the place to go for a late dinner, some nights they serve until very late. Great steaks but even better seafood, especially the small prawns fried in garlic/piri-piri and the Goose Barnacles. Friendly staff and the place is off the tourist trail so you will find mainly local regulars. Overall, great food, great service...and one of the few... More

We were recommended to come here away from the tourist area. It's a €6 taxi ride from the centre of Cascais. The owner was delightful and after the usual cover starters we had a cold fish meal of crab, tiny lobsters (Baxus) and Barnacles. Never having eaten barnacles before the owner showed us how to eat them and the are... More

This is a small restaurant chosen usually by locals. The food, Portuguese, is quite good and the prices are very good. It's not a fancy place, but if you're looking for something away from the touristic places, this is a good choice.

Weird location, but great food. Ameijoas were not salty enough for the missus, but i thought it was excellent overall and very reasonable
