We've stopped here the last 2 days for their green sangria and cured ham plate with cheese. Extremely friendly staff, especially Dario. Great location. Relaxing and fun. Cheers!

Great fish restaurant- Fresh fish. Wonderful service, polite and very friendly and helpful staff. My friend was unaware how sardines should be ate. The manager asked would he like to have another sardine and he would show him how to take the bones out properly.

We stopped in for dinner here after a long day of sight seeing. The traditional decor and friendly staff drew us in along with the reasonable prices. While our server didn't speak English, we had English menus and got along quite well. We ordered the cured ham and pineapple to start. We suspected they knew what they were doing with... More

We wanted seafood and our travel guide book recommended this spot. They were very good at recommending things. They brought to the table bread and olives as soon as we sat down. We agreed to TO the olives but declined the cheese. Only say yes to what you want on your bill. The carpaccio was delicious. We had the sea... More

The food is fresh and good. I ordered sardins and bacalao and was really delicious. Green wine, perfect. Dario the waiter super nice guy. The bill seems to me cheap after the food and the service. I do recommend this place.

Best Bacalhau a brás in town! The food was amazing, the wine was very good, no words can describe. I highly recommend for the food, the waiter wasn't very pleasant, however, the food was so good that I could go there again and again!

Old style restaurant with lovely fish display outside, looked the business. Unfortunately menu of the day only presented on blackboard on pavement so keep your jacket on. Bread cheese and ham offered immediately on sitting down, why not! Ordered cod Portuguese style after all this was a fish restaurant, dear god, cold plate bland piece of fish which to my... More

From the outside the restaurant seems very appealing, nice menu and an offer of €13.50 for a main dish and a glass of wine. The lady standing at the front was extremely friendly and encouraged us to come in saying that we could have octopus included in that offer. So, after eating some exceptionally average octopus and mistakenly ordered an... More

This restaurant is situated a short distance away from the main restaurant area, but is worth searching out. Nice atmosphere, very helpful and friendly staff, well cooked food and competitive prices. What more do you want?

Thank Morrie

Neighbourhood Profile
Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria
Explore narrow streets and alleyways, small cafes and, of course, the internationally acclaimed Fado music. The earth-shattering Great Earthquake of 1755 destroyed most of the city but the contiguous neighborhoods of Mouraria, Castelo and Alfama remained standing to this day. These neighborhoods represent Lisbon at its historical best. The cool breeze of the Tagus river will take you up the hills to the sound of Fado, where you'll discover the best "tascas," eat delicious fresh fish and drink great wines. Discover hidden viewpoints and ancient traces of other civilizational ruins in the heart of the Portuguese capital. These are centuries-old neighborhoods that will welcome you to the very best of old Lisbon culture.
