Came in for the bifana sandwich after hearing how great they are. Last night, I had nice wine, cheese platter and seafood risotto at a fancy restaurant. Tonight..bifana sandwich and Sagres! It was so delicious! This is a must when in Lisbon.

The best sardins in Lisbon! Deliciouse, served with salad and potatoes! Pleanty to eat! Have outside tables - much nicer than inside! Great, fast service. Friendly staff! Portions under 10 euros. On the boarder of the city center and downtown.

When you want to try a Bifana (Portuguese sandwich with pork steak) there is only one place to go: Café Beira Gare (that's what my Portuguese colleague told me and he was right). The Bifana fills you right up, so don't eat it as a...More

Called in here for a beer on our way back to our hotel on Rossio Square. Very popular for inexpensive bifanas (pork sandwiches) we just had a Sagres as we had already eaten. Lovely tile fresco of a station on one of the walls.

If there's 1 or 2 of you, stand at the counter and order a Bifana and a beer each. Then people watch... both the clientele and the staff. If you're a bigger group, get a table (but it's a little more expensive). Interesting railway scene...More

When you are visiting central lisbon and you don't want to spend much money for food, this is a good place. In the bar, you can have simple steak sandwich and in the table everything from seafood rice to steaks or grilled fish.

Tasty, filling and among the favorites of the locals. This was a recommendation from one of our friends who used to live in Lisbon. We were not disappointed and we came back twice 😎

A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site,
Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply

earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its
name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in
Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the

you like to enjoy the sea food you need the tools they provide you to eat the langoustines, lobster etc. It will be more comfortable to take your time and eat in the restaurant rather in a train.
