An amazing experience with the food from Goa (India) in a very typical neighborhood (Santos). With or without spicy , the food is very good. Excelent family service. I recommend everything but the chamuças are very, very tasty.

Lovely meal at Zuari! I had a samosa, vindaloo and the chocolate samosa. Everything was great. For sure i will come back when in Lisbon.

After a few weeks in Portugal, it's possible to tire of national food so it was such a pleasant surprise to find Zuari, a genuine Goan restaurant. In a narrow street on a tram line, Zurari is as unassuming as all the other restaurants in the area so you have to be in the know. The owner has been a... More

Desperately seeking a difficult to find authentic Goan pork vindaloo while in Lisbon, mostly the Indian places I saw were the usual indo-Punjabi-Bengali places we get in UK so no pork. But I found this Goan Jewel round the corner from hotel in santos/lapas district. Small menu, had enough for me and a Friday night curry. Shellfish, Fish, mutton, pork.... More

Zuari is an inexpensive restaurant that has been serving amazing samosas and tasty Goan food for four decades.

Being English one of things I miss is a good Friday night curry. I had a lovely coconut chicken curry, some poppadoms, castello, coffee and an ice-cream for 11 euros! You can't beat that value. There are also ton's of good bars on the same road to go to so it makes a great night out. The family that owns... More

Excellent! Delicious spicy Goan food at very affordable prices, unbeatable value for money. Goan family-owned small restaurant with extremely friendly staff (Mr. Orlando and family) and a cosy atmosphere. Great for casual dining for couples, family or friends. If more than 4 people I suggest you make reservations. The food and service are definitely the highlights!

I wanted to taste Goan food as I love Indian food. I went there for lunch and it was delicious, spicy but not too much. The sarpatel and the bebinca, typically Goan, were very good. It's a no fuss place and very affordable! Had a chat with the lady who was cooking and her daughter, they were very nice too.... More

On tasting the food, one would immediately know when the taste of otherwise home cooked Goan food is completely off in a commercially run restaurant such as this one. The Senior folk running this place are of Goan origin, but along the way have the lost the passion of keeping it authentic. The stuff like Samosas and Kachoris are Indian... More
