Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place for seafood! Worth of waiting - thete is a lounge where you can wait and have some ”starters”. Good and friendly service!

It's an average place, the food was not bad. The tiger prawns and the clams were pretty good. The service was OK, but it felt like being on a conveyer belt. In my opinion, not worth the effort to get a reservation (25€ pp just...to make a reservation) and not worth the price.More

This was now our second visit to Ramiro and we just love this place. Next to the super fresh and delicious food the whole atmosphere is really unique and authentic. We will definitely coming back again!

We were looking forward to this diner, as it was highly recommended and were very disappointed with the service. The waiter kept trying to make us only order what he recommended and kept telling us that it is good. We all wanted to order our...own meals. The food that we ordered was good, but the service killed the experience and we could not wait to finish the meal and get out of the place.More

This place is so good that we dined here twice in the four days we were in Lisbon. The first night we had toasted bread, (sounds boring but it’s delicious) Barnacles- (had to try them, they were also good and so worth saying we tried...them and liked them ;-) prior to going here, we had asked a local how to eat actually eat them which was very helpful) Garlic Shrimp (yum) and Grilled Tiger Prawns (THE BEST!!) and a bottle of white wine. We returned our last evening there for the Grilled Tiger Prawns because they were so good!!! Fantastic seafood restaurant with very reasonable prices! Fast and professional service, this is a wonderful dining experience! We would return once a week minimum if we lived there!More

Had read alot about this restaurant. Apparently you have to make a booking. We didn't have a reservation so tried walking in early during lunch time and got lucky. We enjoyed the prawns and lobster. Best to book in advance.

Honestly this visit was disturbing - they are seriously cruel to the poor crabs that are piled a meter deep in tanks unable to move about for ages until they are used to eat. One can accept a tank where they can move about until...cooked but to see them stacked up high trying to move was like something from a Chinese Market….there ought to be laws against such cruelty - awful place awful people to be so unkindMore

Very bad experience. I don’t recommend it at all. They told us to wait 30 min to be seated, it ended up on 1h30min waiting time. The waiters were arrogant and told us at 22.30, after all the waiting to leave if we did not...want to wait more. The food was good but nothing special, even we asked them to bring the dishes little by little, they kept bringing dishes and didn’t care if there was literally no more space on the table where we could put the dishes. We did not finish eating when they started to turn off the lighting of the terrace and cleaning. We had a little lamp on our table that they also took it and turn it off while we were still there forcing us to leave as we did not have lights around. It is absolutely not the restaurant it used to be.More

make a reservation. The menu is seafood and only seafood. Don't think you are coming here and getting a pasta with seafood, or a salad or a potato/rice to go with the seafood - only seafood. Cramped small tables. Felt a bit rushed. Think a...lot of different sized shrimp, prepped/cooked a few different ways. plus more - whole lobsters ex. Cramped small tables. if you are a seafood fanatic - then this is your place. 100% casual dress will see t-shirt and shorts.More

Simply not good to don’t say terrible. Food is expansive, doesn’t have taste and is not good at all. They boil the sea food, that’s all. Staff fighting during the service. The beer is cold, that was the best part.

This was our second time visiting Lisbon, so it was our second time to Ramiro. I do believe the second trip was strictly so we could come back to this restaurant. This restuarant has been the only thing my husband has talked about since we...left it in 2022. When we came back this year it was everything we could have dreamed of and more. The garlic shrimp. I would bathe in the garlic shrimp. Just a big cannon ball and eat my way through. I think we had them bring us 4 refills on the shrimp. The crab - are you kidding?? Thanks for bringing him to the table so I could see him alive one last time before eating him. Juicy, buttery, yum. The star of the show - The Steak Sandwhich for dessert. I am not sure why this was the first place to think to serve me a meat sandwhich for dessert but now every place that doesn't is only mediocre to me.More

How do I start?! Right!! Ramiros is fantastic!! Even popular with locals before Bordain and Phil got here!! The buttered bread is so amazingly fresh and fluffy yet crispy! The beer was crisp and cold! All the seafood including the spider crab, scarlet prawn, mussels,...prawns were so fresh and tasty. The prego (streak sandwich) is a must for dessert!! Or at least after your meal! Amazing attentive waiter and team really! Literally the best seafood restaurant in Lisbon. Will be back one day! No doubt!More

The place was chocker busy! Thankfully we made a reservation (would recommend this). Food was very fresh. We ordered things we wouldn't normally have e.g. goose neck barnacles and whelks, which was surprisingly tasty! Spider crab was nice but the scarlet shrimp was the highlight...of the night. I have to thank the servers for making the night fun and enjoyable!More

Our family of six was visiting from Canada and were recommended to eat at Ramiro. We had amazing service from an enthusiastic server who obviously loved making people happy. The food came out quickly and was absolutely delicious. It’s not a cheap meal by any...stretch but as a special experience it’s worth the price.More

I struggle to understand why this place has such a strong reputation - it was recommended to us multiple times. We left after starters, not wanting to end our Lisbon trip on a disappointing note. Rude, underwhelming service, no vibe, dated (not in a good...way) decor and the food was really expensive for very little and also not delicious at all. In a city with great seafood, you can do much better than here on all aspects.More

Just smart casual really - it’s definitely not a stuffy or formal restaurant. Great food though I always think deserves a little care in appearance and is respectful to those running the restaurant! Hope you enjoy!
