Unfortunately not a good experience. The sun was out and my guess is this had caught the restaurant out for staff cover. We had to wait an hour for our food. The only redeeming thing was that the waitress was extremely apologetic.

We went to Belém to visit the attractions like many other tourists. Eating in this area is really not worth it. I'd suggest just going back to Lisbon and eating there instead. Our experience at this restaurant wasn't the best. The octopus salad was swimming...More

Even in the depths of February there are battalions of tourists unloading from buses in this area and seemingly few restaurants from which to obtain a reasonably priced, reasonably tasty meal. Belem 2A8 does the job. We ate at a pleasant outside table and the...More

Enoteca de Belém was booked so I decided on this place. It was a good quick meal at an outdoor cafe. The wine was chilled and the codfish cakes were tasty.

Cod Cataplana with Shrimp and Clams, and Atlantic Optopus Rice. Slightly salty, but not affect appetite! The octopus was very fresh and its flesh was very tasty, although the rice with it was half-cooked. The shrimps and clams in the chowder were great, the cod...More

Food was nothing special. Maybe we are spoiled because we have had so many incredible meals in Portugal. Service was not good. Place seemed a little dirty. Someone placed him on my chair so that was rather disgusting.

It's hard to find a good place where you can eat in Belem - all restaurants in this district are touristy, crowded and expensive. The atmosphere inside this place is nice, but food is average and quite expensive when compared to prices in Lisbon. Service...More

Description
The Bethlehem 2-8 is in Bethlehem Street, on port 2 to 8. It is a traditional Portuguese restaurant where everything is confecionado according to the Portuguese kitchen rituals. Several snacks and dishes that lead to travel in time to the smells and flavors present in Portuguese tradionais kitchens of yesteryear. The challenge of Bethlehem 2-8 is to carry the flavors that symbolize the true Portuguese cuisine, such as the crisp snap of a fish from the garden. And so the restaurant does this saying his business motto: "Great Wisdom is Eating and Drinking in Good Company!"
