Had a great lunch today, with fish and dessert. Both wine and "aguardente" were excellent recommendations from landlord, who is fluent in English but was patient enough with my Portuguese. Reservation recommended since there's only a few tables.

Crisfama is a wonderful place absolutely worth the short bus ride out of the city center. Both the space and the owner are welcoming (the owner more so) and you can slow down, take a breath, and enjoy. We had the octopus rice and bacalhau...con crema, both of which were amazing. The bacalhau may have been the best thing we ate in Portugal (possible exceptions for pastry). It’s traditional, it’s one of those wonderful homely little family-owned European restaurants, it’s got great preparations, fresh ingredients, tons of love, it takes credit cards, the portions are generous, the prices are reasonable. Basically: go here.More
obrigado pelas suas palavras e um forte desejo de muita saúde
We asked for fish recommendations at this restaurant, and we had probably the best dishes we had in a long time. Felt like eating at my parents house. Had good food, good vine and good company . A must pllace to visit! Will eat again...when we return to Lisbon!More

We visited Crisfama which is a little bit off the beaten track but well worth the visit. The host was very friendly and funny! The food was amazing, we shared clams and bread followed by grilled sole and tuna steak which were perfectly cooked and...very generous portions. The bill was really reasonable too. I would recommend booking in advance as 3 separate couples arrived shortly after we had and were offered a future booking. It is small but intimate with max 10 settings - it is like sitting in the front of the owners home. Definitely worth the visit!More

Very fresh fish, we ordered a tuna steak and a grouper. It’s a small business so it’s better to book in advance. Super cute and friendly host! Price is very reasonable too. Must come again!
Muito obrigado e muita saúde
Excellent food, the best host! We had grilled shrimps and golden fish! Both excellent. We had a super nice first evening at Lisboa! Will definitely come back

My wife Anna and I returned last week with friends. Crisfama is understated yet legendary - the locals revere it. My wife enjoyed her sole, and I had the best ever cooked tuna of my life. Fernando’s choice of wine was exemplary, and his wife...is a terrific chef. I gave in to my baser instincts and opted for a rich dessert of chocolate orange. Our friends agreed that it was a fantastic lunch. I hope to return later this year.More

From the minute we walked in we had a special experience. This is a small husband and wife team. The husband is the warm, gracious, humorous host/server. The wife is the cook who prepares the wonderful meals. All very reasonably priced. It was so good,...we returned the next night! We all highly recommend Crisfama!More

Very welcoming host, lovely food - we didn’t book but he found us a table. It was a bit like dining in the hosts home, very friendly - good value. Glad we came 👍

You will experience fantastic Portuguese cuisine. We have eaten at Crisfama multiple times during our six week stay in Lisbon. The couple that run the restaurant, she is the chef and he is the host and waiter, are lovely to talk with. He is very...knowledgeable about the wines of Portugal and has a good selection of wines by the bottle. I always just had a glass of wine, they do not have a “house wine” but instead he chooses bottles to serve during the day. It was a different white wine each day that we ate there - each one excellent. Between the two of us, we have had pretty much everything on the menu, and it was all good. Not just good, but excellent. My personal favorite was the Bacalhau com Natas, which was comforting and creamy and lovely (and the best bacalhau I had in Lisbon). We ate the grilled fish, all kinds, and they were always beautifully fresh and grilled to perfection. Desserts are all made in house and they were delicious. There are different ones each week. We particularly liked the Chocolate Mousse, the orange cake and the flan.More
