I was really excited to go to this place- I love bifanas and a number of things I had read online suggested this place served the best. Unfortunately in my experience that was very far from the case. The meat was a bit dry but much worse it just didn't have much taste. None of that garlicky, stewed goodness I've... More

This is an amazing place to visit in Lisbon if you are looking for a traditional portuguese food. The place is located at Chiado, a very nice place to visit in Lisbon.

This was a referral from our tour guide and definitely wasn't a tourist trap. However if you don't read Portuguese and don't know specially what to order it's going to be tough. So we had the famous "a bifana" and it was just eh. It's hot pork sixes on bread and that's it. You can put mustard on it but... More

Went three times during our stay in Lisbon. Great value for money. The real deal. Without doubt the best bifanas in Lisbon. Good place to sit and absorbe the life of the city while chilling with cheap food and drinks. Very local.

A tipical portuguese restaurant. The prices are ok. Try the Bifana (pork meat) or Prego (cow meat). Around €1,75- 2.

This locally run family place was our breakfast venue every day. They serve the best coffee I've ever tasted and the staff is very friendly, even if they do not speak any English. The breakfast menu is quite alright for a place like this.

Fast service, delicious lunch. Popular by locals. worth to go for quick lunch. Staff didn't speak English but they had selection of two dishes for lunch and we could see the others eating so was easy to point out what we wanna order. Don't expect fancy place.

This place was so disappointing!! We got the famous pork sandwich and it was literally thick bread with one thin slice of very dry pork in between it. My sister and I agreed that it tasted like a cheap sandwich that could have been packaged at a gas station. We have no idea what Anthony Bourdain saw in this place.... More

I had a good bifana sandwich hear and my wife had a plate of snails. The bifana was fresh and good and a steal at 1.90 euro. The snails were small and were ok but not worth the effort as they were so tiny. Place is small and quite rough around the edges

This came on my radar because of Bourdain. It's a local place exclusively visited by locals who know each other. Had a beer and the pork sandwich, which is what it is famous for. Euro 2.90. Really. Definitely if you want to check the local vibe. Might be too local for some. Definitely not fancy. Otherwise stay away.
