Lovely spot for a sunset dinner with fantastic views of Lisbon and its bridge. Great atmosphere, nice food and friendly staff.

Magnificent service and food. Amazing view. The employees are super nice and friendly. We were 2 persons and we asked 2 different plates. They understood our need to share and they brought first the fish “Caldeirada de Peixe” and then “Magret de pato” (meat). Super...nice! The fish was good but the duck and the rice was impressive! Try also “brownie with ice cream” for desert. DONT FORGET TO USE A TAXI BOAT FROM LISBON!! It’s a wonderful experience as well!More

We had (an excellent) traditional Portuguese lunch at the neighbouring Ponte Final as part of a foodie tour, and decided to try Atira-te a few days later. The chef apparently spent 3 years abroad, and there are subtle Asian flavours in the food. We shared...Pico Pau - diced cubes of medium rare steak in garlic and chilli then had John Dory and black linguini with shrimps. All excellent. Only negative note was a woman eating alone at the next table and smoking throughout her meal, with the smoke drifting our way. A smoke- free area would be a good idea.More

What a gem of a place. A quick hop across the Tagus from Lisbon to what feels like a different world. A 10 minute waterside stroll leads you to Atira-te ao Rio where you can enjoy superbly cooked seafood (they do non seafood too). Knowledgeable...serving staff on hand to advise on a pretty decent wine list. Brilliant views of Lisbon whilst listening to the sound of gentle waves lapping at the small beach directly in front of the restaurant . We had Scallops and Sardines to start with followed by Cod with Peppers & Potatoes plus Prawn Linguini all washed down with a very pleasant Sauv Blanc from Lisbon. Add in 1l of Sparking Sangria and you’re looking at a very reasonable 100 euro bill for a truly excellent lunch. Absolutely would recommendMore

I hate when restaurants don't try. When they just sit there being normal when they have a shot at being something better. I thought it was the case with this one. The service was subpar, the portions were ridiculously served (not nano-quantities, the waitress just...didn't understand we wanted to... 'share' so she brought a first portion for two and then another portion for the other couple) which, at this level (4.5 or something), is just ludicrous. Also, you won't find anything typical or local in the menu. Linguinis and its semi-fancy derivatives can be found in any other tourist trap. I thought I was going in for something special - the restaurant has the view, the 'adventurous' trail to get there, the octopus was supposed to be "sumthin' else!!' according to fellow tripadvisors, it honestly has some USPs that other places might only dream of - but I was disappointed by the lack of effort and rookie mistakes of the staff. I am truly sorry I cannot recommend this place. Not to my friends, not my family and not even to my arch-rivals. Way too average.More

Visited this restaurant for lunch on recommendation of our host. The food was very good and the views of Lisbon were fantastic. However the hospitality and attitude of the staff left a lot to be desired. Therefore I personally would not recommend or return.

We were just passing by on our way from the elevator to the ferry dock and this cute little restaurant called our name. We were happy we answered the call. The service was very friendly and attentive. It's a small menu but we were very...pleased with our choices. My husband had the fresh cod over potato stew and he said it was the best cod he's ever had-- cooked perfectly, moist and delicious. I had the pork over truffle mashed potatoes and used my bread to get every bit of the sauce, it was so good. Excellent lunch!More

We went for a family lunch. There was a couple of years since the last time I was at this restaurant but, having seen the recent reviews, I was excited to get back. The view to Lisbon is amazing and that itself, is a major...plus. The weather was lovely for this time of the year and we enjoyed our walk from Cacilhas to the restaurant. Once we got there, the staff were really helpful and friendly and we felt very welcomed! The menu is not very long but there’s a good variety of yummi dishes. The wine selection is also great! We went for the fried octopus/ choco frito for starter and had the scallops risotto for main course, with the “Atira-te ao Tejo” white wine. The food was amazing and the wine was excellent and a great combination with the food. It’s definitely a “come back”!More
