It's good but it doesn't worth the price you pay for, the staff should be more helpful and available, the doorman was nicer than the waitresses.

Delightful authentic west African cuisine. Served by enthusiastic and informative staff. After our yummy meal we were entertained by a sensational singer and keyboard muso. If I closed my eyes it was Cesaria Evora herself! This new restaurant should not be missed. The only other...More

Description
About the restaurant Casa da Morna and Semba
Sharing culture, music and cuisine.
Located in Alcântara, Casa de Morna and Semba presents itself as the ideal space to contact the Angolan and Cape Verdean cultures. The space is large and bright, with wooden floors and white walls adorned with colorful paintings.
The name of the restaurant is allusive to two types of musical styles: Semba, originally from Angola, and Morna, from Cape Verde.
Also the kitchen is in agreement with the name, with entrances such as Pastéis de Milho and Meia Ndungo, dishes like Moqueca de Camarão, Calulu de Peixe, Moamba de Ginguba, Cachupa and Funje de carne seca.

With live music, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays the Casa da Morna and Semba is always a lively and attractive space.
