Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The ambience, the food, the drinks….fabulous. The all you can eat buffet is great value for money. The variety of food was great, everything was so tasty I needed about 4 plates. The white wine sangria was delicious, I’d easily have about 15 of them....Great location and great spot to eat before heading to a few bars in the area!More

Lovely little place, all you can eat buffet. The waiter/front of house guy was super friendly and speaks six languages! The food was plentiful and delicious. Just one warning, don’t believe Google. It had the wrong evening opening time, and said it was ‘busier than...usual’ when it wasn’t. Just call to check!More

This restaurant was recommended to us by our air bnb provider. The quality of the food was fantastic and everything was well explained to us by the very attentive staff. The decor and layout is very pretty and feels very authentic and inkeeping with the...area. Special thanks to the waiter who gave my nana a complimentary white sangria to try, she loved it!More

This place would have been 4 stars or a little more but there were a few issues 1) Restaurant opened 30min later than listed 2) Only one waiter so he was busy. But he was very friendly and served us free ginjinha to try 3)...The food was fine. Decent salad bar and hot items were decent but no dessert included. 4) The price is good for the buffet. What made this LOW is that my husband went to the restroom before dinner and found an undead cockroach in the sink. This completly turned him off the meal and he reluctantly only ate the hot food.More

Wonderful small restaurant with a delicious buffet (~20 Euro), friendly staff. The spinach lasagna and codfish stew were excellent. We also enjoyed the cabbage with chorizo soup, codfish and chickpea salad, and beets with oranges. A red cabbage salad was superb. Overall, a wonderful experience.

A hidden treasure in Lissabon. Doesn’t look impressive from the outside, but when we opened the door to Rosa da Rua we were met with hospitality and authenticity. We dropped by for lunch and found an attractive price-value buffet with a good selection of traditional...tastefull portuguise dishes. Being there felt like being at our regular restaurant. Smoot, easygoing and delicious.More

We really love our meal in here. The food are kind of grandmother’s cooking. What can be better than a grandma’s cooking after a busy day.

My husband and I were on a cruise and stumbled across this on our visit. We had the buffet lunch and it was incredible! It was amazing to have authentic Portuguese food and at exceptionally reasonable price. The staff are amazing and the food is...superb! We will definitely come back if we visit Lisbon again.More

We really enjoyed the casual atmosphere alongside excellent service. Starters were in a self-yourself room on a couple of tables with dishes with salads, cooked legumes, gazpacho as well as cooked pieces of codfish in a broth. If wanted (which the four of us did),...main meal was ordered at the table, well prepared and tasty. We were totally satisfied, and I do not hesitate to recommend this laidback restaurant to anyone looking for delightful Portuguese cuisine.More

I have just returned from this restaurant and felt compelled to review it immediately! What an INCREDIBLE place! Let me tell you why... Located in Barrio Alto, off the main street lies this incredible eatery. It is very small and as such, booking is highly...recommended. We got lucky because we arrived a few minutes after opening time at 7pm and could take a table that had been reserved for 9pm. Others that followed us were not so lucky. So yes, booking is advisable! The price is approx €19 per person for unlimited buffet of starters and mains. Drinks and puddings are not included in the price which is fine. As a vegetarian, I have found it difficult to eat with much variety in Lisbon and often what I have eaten was bland. Not the case with this place! The starter salad components are mostly vegetarian and I particularly enjoyed the spinach lasagne main as well as the cabbage. I was told that they would be more than happy to cook something separate though included in the price which although I didn't feel the need to take up, it is good for others to know that this option exists. This leads me on to discuss the service. Honestly, if you told me that better service exists in Lisbon then I would tell you that I didn't believe you. These guys are SO attentive! When I sighed and mentioned to my husband that I would love to have the capacity to drink a litre of sangria as I really fancied the server seemingly read my mind and said that he could make me up a glass of sangria and - wow - so fresh and SO good! Rammed with fruit and generous with the alcohol, bonus! We were informed that the menu changes every day and for the 3 of us we paid a total of €72 for 3 unlimited meals, 1 large sangria, 1 large beer and our teenage son with hollow legs had a Coke zero so it was excellent value for money! Go visit Rosa da Rua already!! You will not regret it and it has been by far our favourite restaurant in Lisbon and we've been here a week. I wish we had visited at the beginning of the week because if we had known that it would be this good then we would have visited every day. Hope our review is helpful to others.More

This spot is pay per person, all you can eat, traditional Portuguese food. I thought it was some of the best food i've ever tasted. I would 100% recommend coming here to try authentic Portuguese food, as their menu changes every night. Small, quiet, not...packed, and on a great very lively street. The customer service was fantastic.More
