Food served in or outside this restaurant located on a busy corner in Bairro Alto area of Lisbon. It's busy on a Saturday eve and the local bars made for some noisy neighbours as we sat outside. The food was good, homely and filling.

Called in here before catching the train back to Lisbon. Basic cafe, mostly Portuguese clientele not far from station. 2 courses (my squid stew fantastic) with carafe wine and coffee 15 euros for 2. Can't be beaten for good value

Great food. Local cozine. A small family restaurant with a good service. The owners are awesome. Everyday there are only few amazing options available. Trust me all options are great.

Very inexpensive and authentic local cuisine. We sat at the counter and had fun watching everyone in the kitchen working like crazy. My wife loved her fish, my pork was so so, was translated in English as "ribs" but it was actually (rather dry) bacon. Anyway recommended for eating a large meal on a budget. A bit away from the... We stumbled across this local restaurant just near the Municipal council as we were staying at Sintra Bliss House.. What a local gem away from the maddening crowds. The menu is limited as they only cook a few dish types. The space is a bit small with the locals standing at the bar for a coffee. It's cheap as well,... More

We were pleasantly surprised at A Tasca do Manel. Arriving in Sintra we were looking for a cheap place to eat and we found this restaurant. They have a menu for 7.5 Euros that includes a vegetable soup, a main course of chicken or fish and dessert. The drink is not included, but is cheap. The place has a simple... More

It is near the city hall of Sintra (2mins walking from the train station). You defiantly should ask for the daily menu that brings, bread, soup, drink, course and desert for a cheap price! And the quality if very good. Typical Portuguese cousin and if you are low on budget or not, this is the place for you!

It was delicious Portuguese lunch served within 10 minutes. The cafe has two small rooms - you should be prepared. Nevertheless the food was really tasty and cheap!
