Tacho Real seems like a very traditional restaurant in the very heart of old Sintra, on the way up to one of the thousands hills of the town. We ended up there on a late Sunday evening, when all tourists had left and most restaurants and bar had already closed. Luckly we stopped over at the Tacho Real, where we... More

if in Sintra on a one day excursion from Lisboa on your own, then this place is worth to stop by for lunch. located a bit above the main attractions, there are some few tables just out of the entrance, but many more inside and behind. The menue brings fish as well as meat, with an additional list of some... More

This place is heaven! Beautiful location. Live guitarist. Delicious fish. Fantastic wine. And all that for almost nothing. Must visit!

We were hiking around Sintra and decided to stop here for lunch. It was raining and we were hungry! The staff was fast and friendly, the food was so good!

Tacho Real was just what we were looking for on a late Sintra afternoon. Quaint setting, friendly service, reasonably-priced wine and tasty food. It is worth the walk up the hill. Only regret is that we were not there for a full meal at dinner.

This restaurant is incredible. The food in general, starters, main dishes and deserts are excellent. It has a very nice terrace to eat on the outside (when it is not raining). I also point out that the waitresses really know their business and to explain all dishes. Incredible.

It is a Little bit difficult to find this Restaurant. It is located on the hill. It is very calm, and under such circumstances a guitarist played moody music. The see Foods were very delicious.

We had dinner there because they had a lovely guitar player. He created such a great atmosphere. He played so tenderly. The food was very nice too and our waiter was always ready to help. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes great food and classical guitar!!!

The location in a vaulted crypt setting makes for an interesting dining experience, but the food is nothing special. I had a tasty duck with chocolate (and grapes, there's fruit added to every dish!), while my girlfriend had chicken swimming in mushroom sauce (with strawberries!).

Thank brianmca
