We had dinner here, and it was a bit surprising that we were soon the only people in the restaurant. The food was good - not fancy, more like home cooking. The octopus was quite good, the fish dish and the steak were ok. Service...More

We came here as part of a tour and it was our favorite meal of the entire trip. We had small plates of food paired with wine, so we could try a variety of Portuguese food. The host/owner of the restaurant explained the food and...More

We ducked in here for an early meal as we were tired and sick of waiting till 7.30 as is typical. Grilled sardines and steak were both fine, with a tasty sauce setting off the steak nicely. If anything the steak was slightly too well...More

Stayed in Sintra for few days and close to this pretty restaurant and eventually had lunch on a sunny day outside. Ordered the sardines and a beer but olives and bread cane with beer and thought it was included - of course when bill came...More

Memorable experience, solid food. The highlight of dinner was definitely the waiter/manager/sommelier/jack-of-all-trades Carlos, who is engaging and knowledgeable about all the food and wine they serve. He recommended a delicious vino Verde and a Portuguese cognac to finish the meal - very unique! The food...More

Our tour guide recommended this spot and it was great fun! It’s a block off the main restaurant area in the town center. It’s cozy and charming and Carlos was a wonderfully engaging and entertaining waiter. We had traditional Portuguese meals, which were well enough...More

The food was ok , nothing special. Satisfying portion , probably something you can cook at home . Insanely over priced !! We had to pay over €80 for two mains+one dessert+one bottle of wine . I've been to much better restaurants in Sintra .

Yes they are. Try the Arroz de Pato (duck with rice) which is a typical Sunday specialty.
