Recent visit of a week to Lisbon and Sintra and this was my favorite restaurant. The food was imaginative and delicious. Several dishes were modern interpretations of tradition Portuguese fare. Dishes are prepared as tapas to be shared. I enjoyed the tuna. Also, their take...on hummus was excellent. In general, I would say there are more vegetable used in their dishes than most restaurants we visited and even some vegetarian dishes. A couple owns and works the restaurant with wife as cook and husband as Maitre D’. The Maitre D’ is very engaging. We heard him singing as he worked and he gave us a thorough description of all the dishes before we ordered. Later we had a longer discussion about music. The soundtrack to our dinner was soulful folk all by artists we were not familiar with but fit the ambiance perfectly. The dinner was satisfying to stomach and soul.More

I went with friends one evening and family another evening. Both amazing evenings, with different food choices each night. Very accommodating. Gluten free bread available. Games available to keep kids entertained. Food fantastic. Will return and also recommend to others. Thank you

Amazing husband & wife run restaurant in Sintra with family oriented meals. The host was welcoming and explained the entire menu. We chose the muscles to start followed by the prawns and octopus, ending with home made truffle and baked cheese cake, all was cooked...to perfection. The meals were a good size to enjoy 3 courses and not feel overfilled, and the wine was just a perfect match with the food. Thank you Jose for a enjoyable experience, we will try to remember the Vegemite 😉More

This place should be mentioned in #michelinguide off charts. Michelin guide should mention this. No place for general tourism. This is about love and passion for tradition and modern exchange. The atmosphere the food and the service is marvelous. If you search for real Portuguese...cuisine in a fine and light way, Ze’s and Yolanda’s food is astounding. I am traveling Portugal since 15 years, but this is the place you want to find. And not to mention the playlists! Great! That’s a place off the usual Sintra route, with love tobe to gastronomy, food, music, and dedication. H Berlin ParisMore

Had a great night here. The room is perfectly rustic and a welcome relief from characterless modern offerings. The food follows suit. A husband and wife team, she cooks, he runs the floor. The host is incredibly engaging and charming. Simple menu of small plates,...sharing platters and family style mains. All cooked home style with tons of love. This is proper comfort cooking. Simple, but with care and attention and quality ingredients. Highlights for me were the humous, mussels, and both pork mains. Very reasonably priced, short wine list. The red we had from the south was very drinkable and €17. Don’t hesitate. Get away from the tourist centre in Sintra and dine like a local.More

Returned once more to this excellent small restaurant for dinner on two occasions on this visit to Sintra. Great service and wonderful tapas style menu particularly the 'ham' style tuna and beef and chicken stews. Warmly welcomed as always by very attentive José, his wife...and staff. Thanks again from Scotland!More

This tiny restaurant is owned and run by Zee and his wife Yolanda is in the kitchen. All plates are small plates and can be shared Zee is tireless and gives great advice at high speed. The menu is not to long and we tried...lots of different dishes each one delicious. Short wine list and we drank Alvarinho. As the charming restaurant is so small it is necessary to book but well worth a visit if you are in SintraMore

I would return to Portugal just to visit this place again! The harmony of taste, wonderful service, seafood cooking skills (which is rare), big range of vegetarian meals, perfect deserts. I loved especially about this restaurant that they know the perfect way to deal with...amount of fat and sugar in food, so it remains healthy and delicious. On the photos not all the food we ordered, some of it we ate without shooting. The prices are so pleasant that you should try everything there! Highly recommended!More

Menu is limited, traditional and , for me, perfect. I wasn't looking out for vegan options but would guess there are not many if any.
