Thoroughly enjoyed dining at Incomum twice during our stay in Sintra. Both times we found the food to be outstanding and the service exceptional. Our meals were prepared perfectly and paired well with the wines suggested by our server. We had the octopus, oxtail, guinea fowl and duck breast and each one was delicious. The restaurant had a mix of couples and families, plus tourists and locals, which made for a nice setting. Would definitely recommend the restaurant for a nice dining experience at a reasonable price point.

We went there before a concert at Olga Cadaval. Our second time here. I had given it a 4 the first time (🙁) but after 1 year around here, it is safe to say this is probably the best place in the area for a gastronomic dinner at a very fair price. We enjoyed the food, the wine (2007 Pinot Noir, we'll need to pay a visit to Quinta do Convento) and the service (which is taken very seriously here). Much appreciated also were the beautiful oysters offered prior to our main courses: this is probably unique in Portugal 😋. Definitely a well managed place.

Incomum is truly an uncommon place! We were planning for some time to visit the castles in Sintra and have a nice lunch afterwards. Many of our friends recommended Incomum and, after a short research online, we understood the restaurant has an extremely good rating on all foodie portals - two fantastic reasons to try it out for ourselves ;) So on a beautiful September Saturday afternoon we decided to give Incomum a try. First positive point: extremely kind and professional service + the restaurant truly cares about the covid hygiene measures. The tables are properly distanced from each other and additionally separated by plexiglas transparent dividers (perfect idea that made us very comfortable!). Second: the food is simply delicious. We were quite hungry so we ordered one appetizer (shrimps), two full dishes (guinea fowl and a risotto) and two full desserts (pudim and a special Incomum style tiramisu). All the food was served very fast and with great care. The dishes were tasty and the chef has visibly given his own signature spin on each recipe. Do try the risottos, if you get the chance! And the tiramisu if you will have enough space left for a dessert ;) Third: the location within Sintra is very convenient and allows you to take a nice walk either before or after your meal. All in all, our experience at Incomum deserved a strong 5/5 rating. Highly recommended for a nice day out in Sintra! (Big thank you to Telmo for his kindness and spending some time talking to us about Incomum!)

I was wondering around Sintra exploring, hoping to also find a place to dine, so I asked for a recommendation. The recommendation was Incomum by Luis Santos, because that person has actually worked there before, and told me that the food is very good, well served and great value. If a person who worked there still recommends it, that also tells you a lot about that place. When I arrived, all the tables inside were reserved, so I would recommend reserving in advance. I ate outside, which was quite refreshing as well. I loved the service, everyone felt so nice and caring, and they even brought me a blanket, since it was getting cold outside. The food was a masterpiece, very delicious and well thought. I loved the hidden flavours from every dish. It was like fine dining, but with value and well served. All the dishes I tried, were suggested by the waiter, which did not fail to impress.

We went for lunch during a day trip to Sintra, and were really excited to try their lunch “business” set menu which we heard so much about. We knew it was going to be busy and were prepared to wait, but when we were at the back entrance they told us that they had 6 tables waiting at the front and couldn’t possibly seat us. I went around the front to check, and there was just one couple in front of us and a table ready to leave. It already felt odd, but another waiter was at the front and he made to seat us at the free table. The other waiter from the back entrance noticed us and tried again to get us to leave, saying that they only have that one table and that it’s not the best, but whatever - we were there for the food, not the state of the furniture. While seated, we noticed another couple with an Asian person being told that the restaurant is too busy, by the same waiter. All the while other, White, customers were asked to wait in their wine bar next door. It didn’t feel right, but I wouldn’t have noticed it had I not seen it happen to another Asian person. It definitely left a bad taste in my mouth despite the delicious food. Everything was perfectly cooked and the set meal is great value for money. It’s just a shame about the racism.

We had a great lunch at Incomum. Lunch options include specials for €13,50 which include couvert, salad, main, beverage, dessert and coffee. The sole fillet and tomato risotto and a pork dish were excellent. Excellent service, nice ambience. Highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning food, impeccable and friendly service, great wine. We went for the lunch special which was only 12.5 euros for shared olives and bread, soup or salad, main, and dessert AND a drink (including wine). I had a divine seafood pasta... one of the best I've ever had. We went back for dinner that night and lunch the next day. Dinner was around 60 euros for two - including bread and olives, a shared starter, mains and shared dessert. We were so full we couldn't even finish our delicious mains. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Sintra! Also highly recommend their special olive oil pudding with cheese and rasberry sorbet. It sounds like a crazy combination but it works and was sublime.

On a day trip to Sintra, my daughter & I had lunch at Incomum. The set lunch menu €12.50 including Starter choice: Vegetable soup Salad Main course: Sea bass with potato puree & grilled courgette Pork, slow cooked, with rice Dessert: Apple tart with ice cream Water or wine It was all fabulous. The fish was cooked to perfection. The flavour of the pork was beautiful. Apple tart was suitably tangy & melt in the mouth. The waiting staff were helpful, friendly & multi lingual. I highly recomend this restaurant. A stones throw from Sintra station.

We were served by Miguel, who helped us amazingly from the start (recommending the wines that best paired our dishes), until the end (recommending us the best dessert). As a starter, we had the Salad w/ Smoked Duck Magret, which was very good, but nothing out of this world (I'm not a huge salad fan myself, but my partner loved it). As a main dish, Miguel recommended us the Iberian Pork Loin w/ Clams Polenta. This one was, as Miguel said, succulent - highly recommended! Both dishes were served already split in two, so it was very comfortable to share them, and the portions were big. As a dessert, Miguel recommended the Olive Oil Pudding, Raspberries Sorbet and Azores Cheese - a special and different combination of flavors, textures and temperatures, highly recommended for those who want something sweet and are tired of the nowadays typical cheesecake. The glasses of wine were very generous, so, given the few nightlife opportunities these days, we stayed drinking wine until late. It doesn't get any better than this.

Very nice restaurant just down the street from the railway station. You walk down a flight of stairs- the restaurant is on the right and a wine bar is on the left. The dining room is bright and cheerful despite being underground with white linen tablecloths. Service was friendly and very efficient. They offer an excellent lunch prix fixe special at 12.50 Euros that includes soup or salad, bread, entree, dessert and a drink. Everything was very tasty. They have several vegetarian options in addition to more traditional Portuguese fare. Highly recommended.

Always have a great meal here. The cheese plates are a great starter to share and the fois gras is so smooth. The staff are always attentive and friendly our waiter this time couldn’t do enough for us and bought me a blanket when the mist came over as we were dining outside.

It was been our best dinner on our trip to Portugal. We have ate delicious plates and we have been served by a very kind waiter (I don't know his name but he has blue eyes). The service has been excellent and the portions so generous. Perfect dinner. Thank you Incomum. We definetly come back.

Very disappointing - based upon previous reviews we were expecting a dining experience but previous reviews are much too generous in their comments. The food here is boring and bland. Smart interior and a sort of polite welcome, despite making a reservation some days earlier by phone we were not readily located. We ordered four starters, ranging from soup to foie-gras and clams. None of the items were exciting or particularly tasty, the foie-gras was cold and firm and served in an unimaginative way. The main dishes were overcooked and dry in general, risotto was stuck together similar to a cement mix and the pork mignon was charred too much & salty. Service is smooth and attentive. None of the plates were cooked with love, care or attention you expect but simply thrown on a plate. This is a tourist food factory, nothing more, serving uninteresting food that has little to no flavour. There are much better restaurants nearby, avoid here! At €200 for 4 people with 2 good bottles of wine we rated it 3/10.

We had been a bit disappointed in the food on our visit to Sintra but Incomum is head and shoulders above. We asked for the house white wine but they were sold out. We were asked what kind of wine we liked and another was suggested, €5 more expensive. We were given a chance to taste it before committing, then given a freshly opened bottle once we were happy. The garlic prawns starter which we shared was simply the best dish we had eaten in a week. We fought over the last morsel and mopped up every last drop of sauce. There was then a slight mix up and an adjacent table was given our main courses… many apologies and a very short wait later we enjoyed a generous amount of perfectly cooked scallops on a deliciously creamy mushroom risotto and beautifully tender veal with gratin potatoes. When the bill came they had already taken the starter off the bill for the minor inconvenience and the wine was priced at €14, the same as the house wine we had originally asked for. Maybe this kind of service should be standard but it really isn’t, especially in a popular tourist town where returning custom is not a priority. Do yourself a favour and venture ever so slightly outside the heaving historic centre, this is the stuff of great gastronomic memories!

The food was DIVINE! We sat on a little table out the front next to a beautiful old house covered in flowers. The service was great and they were incredible knowledgable about the wine and cheeses we ordered! Our bill was incredibly reasonable for the portion sizes and amount of food we ordered. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Sintra!
