Such a quality establishment in a touristy location in Sintra . Everyone got the lobster soup- just yum. Because of our large group of 8 they were able to accommodate in basically our own dining room. We loved that. Our server had a good sense...of humor - made us laugh . Their green wine is a must ! This experience was one my most memorable moments .More

We made a reservation prior to coming to Portugal via email. The wait staff at this restaurant are true professionals! We had the bread, olives, vegetable soup, sweet potato and spinach risotto and seabass - all were delicious! We ate in the center dining room...which is beautiful but the overhead lighting & white walls are very bright as compared to the other rooms- would suggest dimming the lights and adding candles on the tables for better ambience. Even so, it was a perfect dinner!More

We had been walking all day, touring the Palace and Castle above Sintra. On the off chance, we had our taxi driver drop us and we scored an outdoor table on a lovely summer afternoon. The service was friendly and efficient. We had a lovely...sparkling rose, and fabulous late lunch. Don’t pass on the molten chocolate cake, so good!More

Quiet location away from the bustle of Centro & the train station. Food was wonderful! Had the curry with shrimp & the black linguine with shrimp, as well as beverages, olive & bread starter, and a complimentary small plate of octopus pieces in sauce for...each of us...which was a nice surprise touch. All of it was phenomenal and ran us a little over 50€. The servers all shared in attending to our table and were very welcoming & friendly. I don't write many reviews, but this was such a pleasant surprise find as we wandered the streets, that I felt I needed to put a review out there. Highly recommend.More

Portugal has many great restaurants but this one was exceptional. It was recommended by our tour guide and he was able to get us in at the last minute. The meal was creative and artistic. The wine was very good and the prices were reasonable...for a higher end establishment. On the Main Street of Sintra, it is well worth the time to visit.More

We were in Sintra and chose to go down the steps to a restaurant that we knew nothing about. It turned out to be a fabulous experience The decor and service were topped by the excellent dining and food. We had red octopus with sweet...potatoes and spinach - the best ever and nero linguine with shrimp and crab also delicious. This is a restaurant not to be missedMore

Excellent lunch and service after an exhausting visit to the pena palace. The pork ribs to share followed by crème burlee was well cooked and presented. Still plenty more to try from the menu next time

I really don’t understand how people give this highly overrated restaurant 4.6 stars. The service was absolutely horrible, we waited half an hour to get just the drinks ordered and only got attended because we actively called the waiter. We asked the waiter for some...wine recommendation, but he didn’t really seem to be interested in giving advice and just said he’d bring us one to try. Ok, anyway, wine was ok-ish but not what we asked for. Another thing that I haven’t seen anywhere else was that they removed the wine bottle from our table. Apparently in an intent to save space and always pour us the wine when the glas was empty. Unfortunately it seems there are not enough waiiters so we waited with our empty glasses 10-20 minutes for a waiter to appear and pour us from the bottle we paid for. Food was also rather flavourless, had un uninspiring vegetable soup which was ok but not great. As main dish we had a coconut-avocado penne and beetroot gnocchi. The penne were completely flavourless and super oily with an unloving half avocado on top. The apparent coconut was almost not noticeable. The beetroot gnocchi were also completely flavourless and only had the red colour but no taste of beetroot whatsoever. In the end the waiter even got rude for not having finished my penne. In essense I can only say that this was a horrible experience for a seemingly posh and also not cheap restaurant. Can't recommend to anyone.More

One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The service and the food was outstanding from start to finish. The combination of flavours and ingredients worked perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone that loves a great dining experience at a very reasonable...price.More
