We picked this little restaurant largely at random, but were well satisfied. Super friendly staff and a nice local menu with very reasonable prices. The "Camels Drool" dessert tastes much better than it sounds! :)

The location of the restaurant to the apartment I was staying was very convenient. The food dishes were reasonably priced and the portion size was alright. I ordered the tuna on my first visit and pork on my second visit. The tuna toast snack was...More

Price and portion size ok, but food could have been better. Espada with banana was tasty, but I wasn't expecting it to be breaded. The two meat dishes we had were very very tough (steak and picada). Fries were soggy. Like others have mentioned, the...More

We sat outside in a nice quiet street away from the buzz and high prices. We both had fish soup accompanied by garlic bread. Then we had Scabard fish and finally egg pudding. Flavours were great, portions small but adequate and value amazing. Strongly recommend.

Having escaped from the pushiness of the Rua Sta. Maria, we found the Rua Queimada a much more relaxing experience and A Garafao was the best of the restaurants we tried there. The menu was varied, very Portuguese and the food excellent. The staff were...More

We as stopped here and had the Scabbard fish with Bananas. The fish was deliciously prepared in the restaurant’s version of a local favorite — filleted, fried, and then cooked with bananas with passion fruit and some almonds to give it a nice crunch. Served...More

We found this restaurant when looking for a good vcalue option and were pleased to find it was just 10 minutes' walk from our apartment. The menu was simple and prewarned that you can wait 30 minutes whilst food is cooked. We were offered a...More
