Walked passed this house and decided to call in. How pleased we did. Had a guided tour of this remarkable collection of one man. It is both beautiful and amazing ,and displayed in a lovely house,. Don't miss it,and then have tea and scones in the little cafe, delightful.

This was the highlight of our visit to Madeira. An incredible collection of artefacts from all over the world contained in a beautiful house. An expert guide and all for just a few euros admission charge. Unmissable!

Served by the lovely and helpful Carolina, I had a fruit scone and wild strawberry jam which was simply heavenly whilst enjoying the great view of Funchal harbour. The staff at the museum were really helpful and the museum visit was simply marvellous. This has to be one of the highlights of any trip to Madeira

This museum holds several collections of the owner who is a very well respected man from Madeira The guided tour is very cheap and the guide very helpful It's on 3 floors and well worth a visit. Also, the cafe is very good. We popped in there for coffee and fresh scones on 3 occasions.

delightful garden with views over Funchal from the back terrace, friendly but not intrusive staff, not over priced, good quality coffee, popular with the locals, ideal if visiting the Quinta da Cruzes gardens since their restaurant is currently shut.

We visited this tea room after getting lost and wanting a break. The service was with a smile and the drinks a little different from the routine. We went back the next day after visiting the associated museum.

I have visited the. Museum on a few occasions now and I always stop in this tearoom after my visit. On this visit it was International Day of the Tourist, so, entry to the museum was free. I have reviewed the museum before, so, this time I'm concentrate on the tearoom. It is also quirky, particularly inside, but, the outside... More

Came across the tea room after visiting Quinta de Cruzes garden. Delightful terrace, although it could have been made even better with a few more plants and a bit of tlc. Only one scone left & no cakes, but it was around lunchtime, so my other half had the scone & I settled for a toastie. Staff friendly & very... More

Quaint little tea room and tea garden at the back of the museum. We had excellent tea and they make a lovely ginger and lemon scone. Various snacks such as sandwiches, toasties and various kinds of cake are available. From what we could see, you may be able to visit the tea room without first going in the museum. Across... More
