Best restaurant in Porto Santo Island. They truly take care of the details, the perfect balance between a world-class restaurant experience and the traditional Portuguese cozy hospitality and simplicity. We knew we had arrived at a special place when we looked at the menu, the tableware and the service. The prices are fair (not expensive), The service was superb, and the flavors were amazing. The people running the place definitely have an excellent taste and clearly understand that food is more than just throwing lettuce in a dish. One thing that actually delighted us was the thoughtfulness of the family behind this place: After enjoying so much our food, we decided we should order dessert too (not something we usually do) so we were undecided between many options, but when we asked the lady serving us "which was her favourite?" she immediately told us she could cut us pieces of her favorites and put it all into one dish, AMAZING. Great to see this kind of very rare hospitality still exists somewhere!! Props to the family running this place and definitely GO HERE!

Restaurants offering good veggie food on Porto Santo are limited but we can recommend the Torres which offers two options on its menu including an imaginative wild rice, mushroom and nut dish that was exceptionally tasty and nicely presented. I rate this as the best main meal I had during a 2-week stay in Madeira and Porto Santo. The house white was also good quality and the dessert delicious. The outdoor setting for our meal was delightful and the staff attentive. The restaurant is situated some distance from the main hotel area on Porto Santo and offers a pick-up service. While this is no doubt reflected in their prices, we can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and would return again if visiting the island again

We stopped here for lunch and were delighted by the pretty courtyard. There were herbs and beautiful plants all around. Each table was set up with different coloured wine glasses. It’s a really lovely spot. The food did not disappoint. We were only after a snack so ordered some of the starters, the roasted pepper tapas, tomato and mozzarella, and the best garlic bolo do caco that we ate in our 2 weeks in Porto Santo. Totally recommend stopping by and we hope to come for an evening meal next time we are on the island.

First visit to this beautiful Resturant, but won’t be the last. We were picked up from our hotel at the appointed time by the complimentary transfer. I had the huge shrimp for starters and my wife had the cheese with honey and nuts. Both of which were amazing. The staff especially the owner were very friendly and engaging. For mains, I nearly had their famous octopus, but went for the T bone steak and my wife had their BBQ’ed half chicken. Both of which were superb. So much so, I’d started my steak with the butter knife and I couldn’t tell. We had a salad and fries as an accompaniment both of which were also very tasty. For dessert I had a brownie pie and my wife had the crème caramel neither of which disappointed. We had a large jug of sangria and a couple of draft beers and I think the bill was around €95. Which wasn’t bad at all.
The place had a lovely un-rushed atmosphere and truly made our anniversary a special one.
Thank you for an amazing evening, we will be returning soon

We visited with a Portuguese dear friend for our final dinner, celebrating a lovely holiday and our guest's birthday in recent days.
Collected and returned in complimentary minibus.
On arrival greeted and shown to a lovely terrace table and pre-dinner drinks order taken whilst perusing the menu. Lovely selection of PXO island/Portuguese on the menu. We ordered Bolo do Caco with amejios bulhao pato starters. Short wait and soon served. Absolutely fantastic first course. Wine list provided and Esporao Reservas Tinto selected. Main courses followed. Tuna steak, Grilled Gambas and the legendary Polvo in secret sauce with side extras of mixed vegetables and sauteed carrots. Terrific cooking, beautifully presented and so tasty. That with a quality red wine wow!!! A single 'novelty' Fried ice cream shared dessert for the girls. (PXO take on Baked Alaska) A tea and Coffees to finish. One word to describe - Awesome!
Very reasonable final bill settled followed by journey to the south side of the island back to hotel.
Conclusion:-
Fabulous meal and highly recommended with great family service throughout.

Firstly…Outstanding Service and we only had lunch. I can only imagine the service for dinner! I asked for recommendations and I was pleasantly surprised with the suggestion (Tuna with Sweet Potato). It was my favourite meal on my holiday so far! The setting and decoration of the restaurant was incredible and we are delighted we visited - we will definitely be back for more :) we highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who visits Porto Santo, you will not be disappointed.

Torres is without doubt our favourite place in Porto Santo
Family owned and run the food, service and overall experience is second to none.
This is the 4th time we have been back to Torres and will always return when we are on the island.
The Octopus is to die and the homemade bread? Just try it for yourself
After our visit to Torres we enjoyed it so much we booked again for the following evening
This place is not always recommended by some of the hotels because they get paid for referrals by other places but please try Torres if you visit Porto Santo and see for yourself why we rate it so highly

We we’re picked up from our hotel and taken to this lovely restaurant. What a beautiful setting, restaurant was so authentic, and staff were very attentive. We ordered limpets, which we were told were 4 hours out of the sea!! They are now my favourite food in the whole world! Absolutely delicious. We then had ribs an turkey which were cooked to perfection. Our host recommended a brandy and s as local spirit that blew our heads off but everything was an amazing experience. Great value too,

Picked up from our hotel and driven to a lovely spot with some of the best food we've ever eaten. Wonderful staff, great ambience, some lovely live background singing and delicious food. A lift back to our hotel to round off a memorable evening. Thank you!
