Really good quality sushi. Great presentation, a lot of variety and absolutely amazing in terms of taste and even creativity. It’s one of the best sushi’s we’be had in town (if not the best!). Wanted to take a picture... but we were took quick to...finish it up! 😉More

The best sushi I have ever tried. Super tasty. The service was great. But still, it’s is quite expensive comparing to the other restaurants in Braga.

As a summary I will say what I read in another evaluation. This is a restaurant trying to offer both Portuguese, European continetal food and Asian food and achieving none... well, maybe they are good at Portuguese food, but I will never know. Let's start:...We are big fans of Asian food and try to have sushi whenever we can. Thus after reading a few reviews, we saw that Alma was one of the best options to go. I am also a vegetarian so when I saw they had Mediterranean veggie options, I thought it was a good idea. First we tried our luck for Friday lunch for the nice Sushi menu. But by 2.15 that we arrived, we were told that there was no menu left... what do they mean about not having menu left? If at the door of your restaurant you offer this option, then by not having it you are inciting for fake publicity. And besides, how can you run off sushi at a suchi restaurant??? At least put a note in the door saying that is until you run our of the main part of your menu (...). The good news is that because of it we discovered Rá Chá Kao which is a great Thai restaurant close by. Not really fancy but food was heaven. Read my evaluation in their page. Then my daughter convinced me to go again on Saturday and try the normal menu. Again we went and this time we ordered the options we had read were the best. Mushroom risotto for a vegetarian and a sushi mix of 14 pieces for my daughter plus a miso soup. The miso soup was tasteless. After 5 years living in Asia we had tried thousands of miso and this was the worst. It reminded me when I started cooking. Yes, miso has no punchy flavours but you add the right amount of miso and a good quality seaweed abd you will have an amazing soup. But specially if you are charging 4€ for the soup, you can offer on the side some gibger or spring onion or wasabi... no, I instead got the soup I make when I am massively sick and barely can stand and just put miso, 3 pieces of tofu and an old piece of sushi seaweed for 6 times the price. Then the risotto. This rissoto is my favourite and had tried it in many places. Here it just felt like a plate of mush cooked with some vegetable premade supermarket stock with mushrooms all over the place and barely cooked. My daughter refused to eat it and this is also one of her favourites. Then the sushi. Tiny, winnie 14 little pieces of sushi with a wasabi I could put in my mouth without tasting anything and an even tinier piece of ginger. Really??? There was no flavour at all and the wasabi was so.diluted that there was no possibility for me to improve it for my daughter. She ate it all because she was hungry but when I asked her if she wanted dessért she said better not because it was likely to be dissapointing as well. Then we asked for the bill which took 15 mins to arrive and another 10 mins for they to come for it. We paid 42 euros and left the place just feeling dissapointed but with a bad feeling in our stomach enough not to eat for another two hours.More

Got the lunch menu which is great value. Sushi was great and we were served some sushi rolls that I had never imagined would work but were lovely. Highly recommended and great service

I ate at their outside terrace for dinner on the only night I spent in Braga. The outdoor terrace is right next to the Jardim de Santa Barbara and has a very relaxed atmosphere. Waiters are friendly and quick to serve (generally....) and the food...really was excellent: I had a cod dish which was, frankly, spectacular. Good quality fish, in reasonable quantity. It is actually a somewhat unusual combination of "traditional Portuguese" cuisine, and Sushi! I had a salad starter, then the fish AND a desert, with wine and a licor to finish off with, so the final price of around 45 euros was probably about right, a touch on the high-side maybe. I would definitly return and recommend it.More
