Pastel de bacalhau everywhere else costs 0,70€ ( 1€ if it's really good) and here tourists pay 4€ for each one! What a rip-off. For what they charge you can eat 5 in other typical restaurants. Don't be fooled.

Crap, tourist trap, nice staff, not their fault, better offers round about for 1/10th of the cost. Enjoyed getting dive bombed by a kamakaze seagull which did us a favour and ate the fish ball with cheese!

It was one of the most expensive snacks I “tasted” in Portugal. The cheese in the “Pastel de Bacalhau” does not taste nor look like cheese. It was a great disappointment. If you want to have a good and cheap one, you can walk 20...More

It's a famous chain. The cheese filled cod fish tapas are amazing and the wine which is different from the one we tasted in Lisbon, was the perfect match. A bit expensive but worth every penny.

Got ourselves a couple of these whilst out and about and they're well worth it. Traditional Portuguese cod fish cake with cheese, prepared and cooked before your very eyes. Fantastic and filling, kept me going for 3 or 4 hours whilst we walked over to...More

We truly enjoyed this unique place. The codfish cakes are excellent, filled a delicious cheese. We also had the white port which was a perfect addition. Although they have outdoor seating, we chose to sit upstairs. It was a delightful place with attractive artwork. This...More

If you are not familiar about how cod is a Portuguese culinary specialty, stop be here for some codfish cakes. It is really an upscale take out counter as there is hardly any place to sit and eat but there are tables and chairs right...More

The pastel de bacalhau is a cunning fishcake made to look like a potato. Made from cod, the centre is a delightful sauce. Try it!
