We have a house in Porto and come to the city often. Abadia was a great restaurant in the past, but standards hava gone down tremendously - perhaps with competition now that Porto has grown into a trendy holiday destination. Yesterday dinner was very bad and I would recommend against going to this place. Not only the food was tastless... More

We had to wait in line for about 20 minutes, so I suggest you get a reservation for dinner time. Friendly and attentive staff. We ordered the Picanha and were not disappointed!

It's the most tradicional place I know in Porto. The decoration is very cosy. It remmbers me the old kitchens from my chilhood, the kitchens from my grandmams. The food is very good. Bacalhau à Gomes de Sá, polvo and Arroz de Pato are my favorites.

Very famous among students this restaurant is a reference on all the universities in Porto. The food is good but not amazing. A bit over priced.

Can recommend this restaurant! It is more of an old fashioned restaurant with traditional dishes. Had the Gomes De Sa, delicious, also the Tripas de Abadia was good. Best Pao de Ló ever and a very tasty chocolate mousse. Loved the service, really traditional, only male waiters who put the food on your plate, refilled the wine etc. Restaurant looks... More

Their version of "Bacalhau a Gomes Sá" is the worst I ever had. They use a LOT of oil olive, making the dish very greasy. The quantity of cod fish is minimal, getting lost in the middle of too much smashed potatoes that drown in oil. They also use too much oil olive in the soup, which was supposed to... More

We came at our hotel reception's recommendation. Very local flavorful restaurant with authentic Portuguese dishes. Very reasonable pricing and popular among the locals. The desserts are yummy!

Very friendly and staff enthusiastic with portuguese food. The tripas a moda do Porto is very good and they say is an ancient plate only made in this city with fantastic story. If you want to stay slim don t go there but if you like to eat go there everyday.Price is average for this country and region.

Traditional restaurant with quaint 70s decor obviously popular with the locals and great service. I particularly liked how the waiter dished up the food from a little side table and the cotton napkins with the restaurant's name embroidered on them. Old fashioned class standards!
