This restaurant was recommended to us and a bit tricky to find, but we were glad we persevered. Had great service, a lovely meal (the mushroom risotto and the cod dish were both excellent) and I had one of the most generously poured G&T’s ever....It has outside tables facing the river as well as the inside restaurant which had nice ambience.More
Visited this restaurant 13 years ago and 13 years later definitely did not disappoint we had a table outside had the prawn starter sea bass monkfish risotto deserts an coffee excellent quality food ,we felt it was very good value for money we live in...Ireland wish it was closer already looking forward to our next visit to the beautiful Porto would highly recommend. It would be better to pre book as we saw numerous people turned away as no available tables, could not fault staff or foodMore
Chicken salad was good. Sea bass was very tasty. Charged 3.50 euros ( per person) for 2 pieces of bread. I would’ve given another star except I was not impressed with how they charged for extras.
A tourist trap of mega proportions. Food is poor to average. But the real cherry on the top in this restaurant are the serving staff. Rude, arrogant and unable to run a restaurant as small as this. Don't waste your time or money as it's...hugely overpriced.More
I learnt that so much depends on the waiter that serves you. Ours was snappy and condescending. Place is beautiful, we sat outside. The food was ok. No more than average. Fish soup and codfish for husband, tuna tartare and sole for me. Not great...cooking. The mark of 3 out of 5 is for the location.More
Terrible food. We order the big Ribeye and it was overcooked and Very chewy and tough. The fish was very bland and dry. The waiter was incredibly rude and dismissive. The OnLY thing good was the view.
We were fortunate to arrive at this restaurant at the beginning of lunch as it meant we had an outside table looking out over the Douro. The location was fabulous and enhanced by attractive flowers on the wall adjacent to our table. The food was...another reason to dine here. One of us enjoyed fish with potatoes and salad while the other had risotto. Be early for this quintessential Porto experience.More
Had lunch and then dinner in this restaurant which sits above the Douro river. Both meals were really nice, top quality food with really friendly and attentive staff and lovely atmosphere.. Will definitely come again.
Excellent place and atmosphere. Tasty and beautifully served food. .as an appetizer were oysters, which were supplemented with a very suitable side dish. The fish soup was served with fruits and interestingly. The seafood salad was completely different than expected, but delicious! The octopus was...excellent, only the chard side dish was bland and a bit tasteless. White wine, local recommended. The choice was successful.More
Wonderful food served by wonderful people! 5Star service and 5Star dining. Tasting Menu is superb and an outstanding culinary experience !
We only booked that day so unsurprisingly did not get a seat inside, but that was fine. Nice atmosphere inside. The staff weren’t particularly attentive at the start but I put this down to not enough staff (which we noticed at a view places). They...were friendly and helpful when they got to us. The duck was delicious and the conventual dessert was amazing. Wine and port also good. We’d definitely go backMore
Worst cataplana in Portugal We booked a table for two based on the reviwes from Trip Advisor. A big mistake! Cataplana served was flat in taste, mostly parcley. Total disappointment. Good location. Efficient service. For cataplana we will go to Tavira again
Absolutely amazing, mind blowing, super delicious prawns 🦐 with coconut and peanut sauce to start and sea bass with crab mash 😋😋😋
We were passing this restaurant at around 12-15 pm, the perfect time to get a choice of tables. Although the inside tables looked fine, there are only a few outside tables giving panoramic river views. The flowers at each table enhance the atmosphere. The wines...and food are also first rate. One of us enjoyed grilled bream with salad while the other opted for mushroom risotto. Both of us loved our meals. We'd certainty recommend this restaurantMore
