An amazing experience at this restaurant located in the city center. We managed to get a last-minute reservation. The interior is very beautiful. We skipped an aperitif since we had one before arriving, but they had a wide selection of cocktails with fun names. The food was all served to share, allowing everyone to taste a bit of everything. One of the starters was the beef tartare, which was the best we’ve ever had. All the food was outstanding and incredibly delicious. We started with a bottle of wine that paired perfectly with the appetizers, and afterward, we received an exceptional bottle that surpassed all expectations—one we’ll never forget. For the main course, we chose both fish and meat dishes, and both were excellent. We then received a glass of Espresso Martini and ordered two shared desserts, which were again very tasty. This was one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had as a family. Highly recommended!

Very well decorated space, very good atmosphere, above average staff, very well prepared and refined meal, with excellent quality ingredients...
Is it worth the price we paid? No. The approximately 70 euros we paid per person (1 starter to share, 2 dishes, 1 bottle of wine, 1 dessert to share and 2 coffees) does not justify the experience. For a foreign tourist it will certainly be a reasonable price, for a Portuguese tourist it is a little overpriced.

We were recommended this restaurant by a friend and it was incredible. It’s a beautiful setting, the food was delicious and the service was above and beyond. There were so many great touches like asking us for our names at the start and then remembering them throughout the meal, and complimentary bread and octopus appetiser. The wine selection was also excellent. We had the ceviche and the ribeye with a couple of sides. The food was delicious and the portions very large. It’s expensive but you get a lot of food for the price and it’s incredibly tasty. We couldn’t finish all the ribeye and asked to get the rest to take away; there was a tiny miscommunication and the restaurant accidentally threw it away but this is where the service was truly above and beyond. Instead of just apologising they prepared new ribeye for us to take away and gave us complimentary espresso martinis while we waited. Thank you to all the staff for an incredible evening! We then finished the meal with the lemon dessert which was also delicious. Couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough

We liked practically all the dishes, some of which were recommended to us by the waiter who served us phenomenally. The cutlery consists of a lid and a little salted butter. Nazaré cream is a marvel of flavor and balance. The magical cogumelos were also delicious. The tigers weren't bad, although they weren't anything out of this world. The sea bass loin was wonderful: I recommend it without hesitation. The desserts were also very delicious (pure couve flor). So the quality was very good and the dishes were well cooked and presented, but we found the price too high. The bill for two people amounted to €139. For that price we have eaten better in other places.

Me and my family arrived for dinner on Saturday thinking that we had reserved a table some weeks ago. The Staff were mortified to think that the booking had not been made and immediately accommodated us with a large table normally reserved for private parties. They immediately brought champagne, bread, dips and little aranchini type balls. We then having checked our emails discovered that we were in fact in the wrong restaurant. We apologised for our mistake but they couldn’t have been more lovely. They offered to call the restaurant we were booked in (even though we would have been 45 mins late by now) they wouldn’t accept payment for the champagne or appetisers and shook our hands. They couldn’t have been more welcoming. Such lovely friendly and helped staff.

Excellent, with different dishes and exclusive flavors, worth trying.
6-star staff, with genuine friendliness and interaction that make us feel at home, to the point that we found ourselves in the restaurant for 3 hours, with the bill paid a long time ago and the conversation and drinks continuing at the counter.
It's not exactly cheap, you can easily spend €50 per person, but by no means do you cry the money. On the contrary, the desire is without a doubt to return!

Smallish modern and warm restaurant. Extremely welcoming staff. Waiters will even plop themselves down in the banquette next to you to talk about the menu. The mushroom and tartare starters were more than enough for both of us. We did order the 75 Euro octopus which was as big as a dinner plate and presented whole (which might be daunting for some!) and delicious as it was perfectly cooked. The margin on that creature must be impressive!

Beautiful restaurant with a cozy atmosphere and excellent service.
For me, in addition to being very well served, the starter was the star of the night: magic mushrooms.
The main course was The Ribeye with fries and cauliflower puree (delicious meat and well served, the puree was incredible too)
For dessert we went with Texas, very different, but we thought it tasted a lot like whiskey.
The bill was around 120 euros for the couple, without wine

Without reservation we were very well received! The service is at the top and our level of Portuguese being zero and that of English little better, the waiters made the effort to use their French throughout the service. Thank you!

We stopped at this place almost by chance. Even though it was full, they invited us to wait for the table to become free and in the meantime they also offered us some sparkling wine and made us sit in a special room. Once seated, following their idea of sharing, we had two delicious tacos and some spectacular grilled meat. All accompanied by a cocktail created by them! For us it was a really good experience

We chose Tasco because of it nearness to our hotel but also the incredible five star reviews that it had received from Trip Advisors. The previous reviews did NOT overstate Tasco; it was superb, one of the best we have ever been in around the world. The menu, the staff, the ease of finding it, the creativity in the menu…all out of this world. Hugo, our waiter (pronounced with a short “U”, not an H) gave us a tutorial on port wines with three examples we could taste, suggested that we base our meal on “starters” and not a main course to share, and was very attentive during the entire meal. The place has mainly 15 to 20 tables, takes reservations by web or over the phone, and you MUST make reservations. It is one popular place and I doubt you can walk in from the street and expect a table. Many Americans here, they’re biggest clientele.
We had three starters, each one shared: the Nazare…a wonderful seafood soup; the “wild mushrooms”…excellent; and the fresh tuna sashimi…stunning. Then one of us had the “Texas” desert….out of this world. Yes, we were full and the idea from Hugo to share starters was a superb idea.
If given the choice and if we lived in Porto, I’d eat here once a week…it is that good and creative. The staff clearly enjoys their jobs and goes way out of their way to explain beverages and food. Just an outstanding choice.
Note that the menu looks quite expensive, but with our meal focused on sharing starters, having two glasses of port, our bill came to a bit over 80 euros. A hugely favorable amount that i would gladly have pad another 50% for.
If you go to Porto and have the time, this is THE place for a wonderful meal. Totally recommend that you make time for a reservation and one of the best meals in your life. Totally.

I made a reservation for New Year's Eve from Berlin. Communication via email was quick, uncomplicated and friendly. When we were in the restaurant, our "special requests" were registered and taken into account without any complications. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and open-minded. The food was really good and there were some combinations that we hadn't heard of before. So it was a great surprise. The price-performance ratio was absolutely reasonable.
A visit is definitely recommended!

Saw great reviews for this place and liked the concept of sharing plates . I booked a week or so before our trip from the uk and they were good at replying and organising.
We arrived on a fairly wet cold Thursday evening for my boyfriends birthday. It was without doubt a highlight of the trip. We started with a beer but treated ourselves to the gigantic king prawns, veal with truffle mash and the blackened pork ribs along with some additional vegetables. We had great advice on wine to pair and they let me taste both rose wines and actually advised on the cheaper one. The prawn, veal and ribs were some of the best I have tasted…. We both were amazed at the ribs having never been huge fans previously! We topped it off with shared desserts and a cocktail . Service from start to finish was great, a chilled but classy environment and never felt rushed. Would 100% rate the food, one of our best meals out ever.

On the advice of a friend we had dinner in this beautiful place in a central street of Porto, a little away from the nightlife streets. It was definitely worth it, pure joy for the palate and the sight, with uncommon care and wisdom in the treatment of the raw material. We tasted different dishes, all excellent and presented with care (the images speak for themselves). The service is also excellent, with correct times that allow diners to enjoy the food and the atmosphere. The cocktails are spectacular, as well as good and original. Valid wine list, with local and international proposals. Higher than average bill, but fully justified by the quality (and quantity) of what you find in the dishes. Well done, keep it up

If you're looking for a more modern twist on traditional Portuguese food, Tasco is a great choice! The food was unusual but delicious; we tried several different appetizers and shared a main course, and every dish was interesting and tasty. The servers were very friendly and helpful, offering on-point suggestions for food and wine. The espresso martinis are heavenly!
