Really enjoyable Sunday lunch. Staff were lovely and really efficient with quick responses to our requests for additional items. Food was great and the burgers got great responses from our children. Beef roast was excellent and I’ve never had so much meat on a plate, the only slight negative was the said plate was too small for the amount of food. Excellent value and will definitely return soon.

Went on a cold wet November day for lunch, haven`t been for years. We were warmly greeted and shown to our table. It was explained that we were to order our drinks at the bar and our food orders would be taken shortly. The tables are well spaced out and everything was spotless. The menu was very varied with a good choice of lighter meals and main meals and all well priced. The great grand daughter enjoyed giving her order to the kind gentleman from behind the bar. All the meals came piping hot at the same time, and were very tasty . Will have to start eating out more frequently this winter, as the lunch brightened up a very dreary day.

We reserved a table for Sunday lunch and all 4 of us opted for the chicken dinner. The portion size was great and the sliced chicken was soft and juicy. There was mash, roast potatoes and new potatoes, homemade Yorkshire pudding, stuffing and cranberry, carrots, cabbage and green beans. My only criticism would be that there wasn’t enough gravy for my liking and it could have been a tad thicker. I do like my roasts swimming in gravy though!! It’s a lovely place however, the staff are friendly, the views are amazing and we will definitely return to try the other menu.

Land of my father's is a grand Welsh saying. Unfortunately the land of my wife's father Gweansgor above Prestatyn is far from welcoming, or at least the local village pub is not the most welcoming place. Called in today having been to the churchyard to pay our respect to my wife's family who rest there The service and welcome were poor and the food average. Why can you not sit on a worn leather sofa to eat a sandwich, why is every table marked has reserved. Why when the pub has 60 covers and there are 10 people in do you have to move 3 times to eat your sandwich. Why do you allow vaping in eating areas. Sorry poor food, poor service, how I wish the saracens head was still open

I booked this restaurant for our annual family Christmas party that we haven't had in a couple of years due to covid and illnesses, it was absolutely fantastic, when we arrived we were greeted by Joanne and Bethan at the bar lovely atmosphere we felt very welcome, we ordered drinks and were shown to our table straight away, a lot of effort had been made they put 2 tables together and high chairs out ready. Beautiful food didn't have to wait long, kids meals were very fast. highly recommended, the little ones loved the Christmas tree, the music and how spacious it was near our table, we took a few books and balloons to entertain our toddlers, everyone in our party enjoyed themselves and complimented the food.

The pub is located within a small village around 4miles from Prestatyn. Parking is available and first impressions of the pub as you walk towards it are very good - very clean looking and lots of colourful flowers. There is only one IPA (Greene King) on tap which served its purpose but there are lots of other and better IPA' on the market. The key reason why I have marked this pub as 'poor' is because both vegan meals ordered by myself and my wife were bland, tasteless and almost enough to put a vegan off eating vegan food.. I had the Vegan Quarter Pounder (Soya) and my wife had the Luxury Nut Roast. The vegan quarter pounder was totally lacking in taste and texture that are now commonplace and to be expected from all similar vegan offerings that are available. I would have preferred to have paid an extra few pounds and have something similar that is available at either 'The Trocello Lounge' (Prestatyn) or the Crown (Trelawnyd). Both of these eateries charge around £12-00 for a vegan burger (as much as a high end meat version) and both burgers are tremendous in terms of taste, texture and presentation. The nut roast tasted like paxo stuffing served with a few mushrooms. This is a real shame and I hope that this review is taken as constructive and that the menu will be amended accrodingly.

We used to visit this beautiful pub regularly when my Mum & Dad lived in Prestatyn 20 years ago & it is still as beautiful as it was back then. The pub was by no means busy & you have to wait to be seated, the 2 girls behind the bar could see us but ignored us, they could have smiled & said we will be with you in a moment.Once seated the young lady who served us was very pleasant & helpful & the food was lovely. The woman who came to collect the plates just said , are these finished ? she never asked us if we would like anything else, drinks or desserts & we sat there like lemons....it was table service only, very disappointed.

Afternoon Andre - thanks for taking the time to post this review which we don't understand why and is taken personally and very upsetting. For readers of the review and to put this in to perspective, we would like to point out this reviewer hadn't booked in and we accommodated them advising that there would be a 30 minute wait for food. At this time there had been a local RTA and the majority of our bookings had been delayed but telephoned to explain the situation. As such many people turned up at once when the RTA was cleared and allowed the traffic through. Despite this we accepted Andre and his family but obviously on this occasion we did not satisfy the customer. However, CCTV shows that the customers were in the premises for 31 minutes and in this time they had been attended too, seated, had drinks, one vaped, the children had a good run around, chatted with locals, paid and left in what seemed quite a happy and content manner. Regarding our team, we are very proud of them and they do a great job. (What gives a reviewer the right to make assumptions and post such comments). Obviously this response also applies to the Blue Sea Blue Sea review. The Eagle Team

I chose this pub for my birthday meal. When I arrived at the pub we had to stand at the bar and order our drinks before being shown our table. My grandmother struggles to stand for long periods and when I asked what table we were at so I could take my grandmother to sit down I was told ‘she will tell you once she’s done your drinks’. Once we finally sat at the table, there were only 4 other tables in the pub that would be eating, it took them over half an hour to come and take our order. I went to the bar to order and was completely blanked, the girl served other people around me but ignored me. I then walked around the pub to find a waitress and asked her to take our order and was told ‘I’ll be there in a minute’ and served a table that had come in after us, it then still took over 5 minutes to be asked for our food order. A table of 6 that ordered 10 minutes after us then got their food before us. Our food eventually came out 45 minutes later. I then asked for vinegar, but the waitress said she was going serve a table first. So I had to wait another 5 minutes to even get the vinegar. I didn’t have any cutlery either so had to wait until another waitress came past and I asked her, she got it for me straight away and apologised. Luckily the food was lovely as that was the only part of our experience that was nice! I am extremely disappointed as this is one of my favourite pubs to eat in and I will not be returning here again after the disgusting customer service!!

After so many people telling me to give this place a go I was massively disappointed, service was poor food wasn’t all that, the sour cream on the nachos was awful that definitely needs re thinking, the beef in the burgers let’s it down too, chewy and thick. Also on ordering a drink I have never ever been served half a glass before it absolutely baffled me surely you would just use a smaller glass. I wouldn’t recommend

We really enjoyed a family dinner here celebrating my Mums 70th whilst holidaying near Prestatyn. The atmosphere was lovely, great table and easy access to the top level for dad in a powerchair. Food was exceptional! We enjoyed lamb shank, steak with peppercorn sauce, and vegetarian options among others. Separate Gluten free menu, which although the first choice wasn’t available the second choice was enjoyed! Child’s menu options were good too. The gardens were worth a visit in themselves! Wonderful eve, thank you

4 of us ate here on Saturday night - 1 burger, 2 mediterranean vegetable lasagnes, and a fish pie (from the specials board). I'd had the vegetable lasagne during a previous trip over 12 months ago and really enjoyed it. Fortunately it was exactly as I remembered - incredibly tasty! All meals were a great portion size and reasonably priced. The hot apple pie with custard and jaffa chocolate mountain cake are excellent dessert choices. Empty plates all round. All staff encountered were professional and polite and the garden is gorgeous.

We were staying locally for a week in a Shepherds Hut. We attended the pub for Sunday dinner, an evening meal and twice just for drinks. Fantastic Sunday dinner and a couple of hours in what has to be one of the best beer gardens we've ever seen. The burger and chips also is a fab option and a home made curry was good my wife said. The choices of ales were a bit dated in bottles (London Pride and Trooper are quite strong ABV) and the Greene King IPA isn't really great. More modern ales (Purple Moose, Polly's as an option) would really lift the bar offerings. The pinot was lovely though and the Guinness was well poured and looked/tasted great. Staff were young but well drilled and friendly. Sue was welcoming enough and her husband not seen other than in the garden doing a fab job! 😁

Went on Friday the 18th in the evening with two friends to celebrate A birthday. I was really impressed by the social distancing and attitude to the requirements of the current issues in society. Haven’t been out since April to eat in a pub this was a really good experience and all three of us enjoyed three courses of Well cooked Presented food. I did not think I would manage the whole gammon but did because it was so delicious. The pâté for starters was excellent. The lamb shank and scampi were really good also we had a few gin and tonic’s and some coffee also on the bill was more than reasonable for what we had a really good value for money. I’ve been here before and had a similar experience so it’s really nice to know since such times standards can be met and customers can leave feeling happy and contentWell done to all.
