Not the best souvlaki I have eaten and I am not sure if would wait for that line again. Nice area where it is located a quick snack for your walking trip, nothing more though.

I went here with my husband twice while in Greece. The food is delicious and inexpensive. You will need to eat outside, as they do not have tables though. This is a restaurant you should not miss.

If you are after a simple, no thrills souvlaki then this is the place. Run by a really nice couple and a friendly little shop!

Great joint run by a couple. Husband, whose grandfather handed the keys to grandson, is amazingly dedicated to the craft. Craft because it takes skill to ensure everyone gets their fill within 5mins and everything is freshly grilled and prepared. And the TASTE is amazing. A quick local dish that has great flavours because of the ingredients; that include heated... More

Staying in Plaka

Neighbourhood Profile
Plaka
Due to its proximity to the Acropolis, Plaka remains the area where the majority of foreign visitors stay and play. Its attractive features include small squares, some notable museums and the beautiful Mitropolis cathedral, as well as a host of places to stay, eat and drink. Its pedestrian zones make it a pleasant place to escape from the city’s notorious traffic. Adrianou and Kidathineon Streets contain a number of souvenir shops, offering classier items than you will find in the Flea Market. The most rewarding section to explore is the upper reaches towards the Acropolis itself, where many old stone houses with tiled roofs have survived. Up here you can find leafier corners and the odd quaint taverna with unobstructed views of the ancient rock.
