Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A nice, well decorated cafe in Pangrati. Coffee was ok. The staff was very polite and caring. The location is good and bad at the same time. Good if you are shopping around and bad if you want to have a peaceful coffee. There is too much traffic at this point. However there was some fresh smooth blow which made me feel really nice.

Thank you for your comment. About the noise, it depends on the time of the day. Usually in the morning the area is more busy, as Medez Cafe is very centrally located.

All the food was delicious. For a breakfast containing toast, orange juice, coffee and dessert I've paid 8€. Service was very kind, but a place a little noisy because of the street nearby. Clean, looking good and friendly, clean toilet. Everything ok!

In the company of my father, a man of a certain age - obviously not the ideal clientele of the shop - we go as soon as he arrives in Athens for a drink, in the evening of 19/04. Everything was going great, we got variety for two, two drinks and 3 glasses of wine and at some point my father looked for the toilet. So the "bartender" told him that the TOILET IS FOR STAFF ONLY. To a 75-year-old man who entered and looked for the toilet, he answered exactly that! My father explained that he is a customer, then he just left him. With what logic, exactly, do you answer this to an old gentleman who enters the store, without knowing whether he is a customer or not? To my protests later, the "gentleman" at the bar replied nonchalantly, that many people just come in to use the bathroom and he didn't know. Somewhere shame and disgrace I will say and no sense of service!

Pangrati
The elongated Panathenaic Stadium, built for the first modern Olympic Games in 1896, acts as grand gateway to the otherwise purely Athenian neighborhood of Pangrati. This area of typical small squares, busy main roads and residential streets will give you a clear sense of what living in this metropolis is like. A walk up quiet Markou Mousourou Street on the west side of the stadium will bring you past the First National Cemetery to Mets, home to many expats. Turn right to reach the charming Platia Varnava. East of the stadium, commercial Eratosthenous Street leads to rather nondescript Platia Plastira, from where Effranoros Street continues uphill to Platia Profiti Ilia, crowned by a huge church. Among the standard four- to six-story apartment blocks that typify Athens, Pangrati also boasts some genuinely authentic tavernas and the odd trendy bar.
