Great food! Exceptional vegetarian beers! Nice atmosphere and very pleasant he music was a plus too (classic rock sounds) ! Excellent job guys! Keep up the good work! see you again soon! Then everyone could go veg without thinking that vegetarians eat only greens and boring food.

I've been a lot of times in this pub-restaurant with my husband during our holiday in Greece. We are both vegan and we found a great variety of vegan food. We tried most of the dishes in the menu and we always enjoyed it; above all we enjoyed the uncheesecake made with cashews: it was very creamy and soft. I... More

Terribly slow service for food that was not worth the wait. The falafel plate we ordered arrived a half hour after others in our group got their food and was nothing more than what you'd get at any fast-food shawarma takeout. Not sure what the fuss about this place is out, especially given all the choices in Athens for a... More

We specifically called before to check they served brunch but when we arrived they said they had no brunch menu. When we queried it, we were presented with a menu with most items missing. Upon ordering, the first item took half an hour to come. Then one dish per person (there were 12 of us) arrived every half hour with... More

Dear w0rldlywise, I am one of the owners at improV. I have arrived soon after you left and looked into the issue. This day we received a very unusual amount of volume for Sunday at a time working with a new cook (in training). That said, it is unacceptable that this delay was not communicated to you as it only... More

Service here is super warm and friendly and the food is delicious. We had the vegetarian pot pie and the crust was to die for. Falafel, vegetarian gyro (seitan), salad, and fava bean dip were all absolutely delectable. Will definitely return.

My boyfriend and I were really keen to try this place during our stay in Athens as I'm vego and Improv was rated so highly on here. We had a fair bit of difficulty getting there, it's a bit of a walk away from the city centre and the neighbouring streets felt kind of... well... ghetto. Was a relief once... More

We were one gray-haired couple and one young couple. We all enjoyed the great vegan food, and the young couple was thrilled with the "cool atmosphere". Like a vegan pub. I didn't expect such terrific vegan food in Athens. We each ordered something different (souvlaki, tex-mex burrito, add-it-on, which is like an English breakfast, and ratatouille, and everyone was pleased,... More

The food was great. I had the vegan souvlaki and the cheesecake. Both were great, but the cheesecake was worth it's reputation. I don't usually like vegan cheesecakes. They feel too heavy and strange, but this I plan on trying to reproduce when I get home. The owners and employees are as nice as can be as well. There was... More

Staying in Psirri / Gazi

Neighbourhood Profile
Psirri / Gazi
Side-by-side neighbourhoods Psirri and Gazi provide some of the city’s prime nightlife. The almost claustrophobic streets of Psirri feature an interesting blend of original small businesses with the restaurants, cafés and bars that have recently sprouted up. The central artery of Agion Anargiron Street has lively places to eat or drink. Further west, you can visit the peaceful ancient cemetery of Keramikos, then cross busy Pireos Street to find yourself in Gazi. With the huge Technopolis performance and art complex converted from old gasworks at its heart, you really have to come at night to appreciate this maze of bars at its best, although a daytime stroll will allow you to admire the excellent street art.
