We have a couple of friends that live nearby this restaurant. We spend a great night with my friends at Hlias. They looked happy for having us and being our hosts. They served us nice ouzo and mezedes. The white sauce pork with rice was...More
I will not fault the bakery, so much as the disgruntled female associate who was attending to us. She seemed irritated that customers would want to place an order, as if that’s not what the establishment is for! We purchased an assortment of baklava-type pastries,...More

Even though the location might be out of your way, I'd recommend checking this tavern out. It might just give you that less touristy feel that some of us crave for.
Invited by our friend Andreas Papadakis, this place surprised us very positively. In a quiet area of Athens (yes, they still exist) this tavern offers you delicious small dishes. The service is impeccable and was appreciated a lot by us.
Great taverna with a nice owner, very jolly guy. The food was brilliant, bread fresh, nice variety of dishes. Great village wine too, and good value. Highly recommend for a long lunch or dinner.

Very good food and the menu was amazing. Try the meatballs for sure. Prices are average to low. Mr Christos has a lot of fun. Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon the place has live music!!!
