All the highlights of traditional Greek cooking in one place! And what a place at that! Varvakeios is a must if you wanna get a taste of real Athens and so is this restaurant in it. Smiley, lovely staff too and some wicked tsipouro.

Unique, friendly, with a slightly old fashioned aura-in a good sense. Loads of delicious homecooked stuff-you gotta try the artichokes and their own burger. Superb staff too. Would recommend it to locals and visitors alike.

Apart from the food which was very good, I very much appreciated the friendly, cordial staff and overall vibes. You get to eat traditional soutzoukakia and feel like home!

The beefsteak with potatoes is tender and juicy, the veal soup tasty and restorative. Another place that does justice to its reputation.

underground stalls, the square is now mostly
frequented by immigrants and bargain shoppers. The
most rewarding area to explore is to the south. Set
off down Athinas Street, with the Acropolis gradually
