If you want to have a some nice food you should really consider thus place, but the services is really poor. The restaurant is already more expensive then most other places in town, but he even charge you for the bottle of water and the bread. In every other restaurant in Chania this is complimentary. But the worst thing about... More

We always go to Tamam. This year, for the second time, with just a little notice they created for us a wonderful (American) Thanksgiving, with an enormous roast chicken, fresh green beans, Persian rice, pumpkin soup, individual pumpkin cheesecakes, thoughtful table settings, and a special music soundtrack the staff had created. These are the nicest people, and the food and... More

Great food with amazing flavours in a unique setting and a picturesque city. Every time we visit Chania we have to go to Tamam. Their special salad and Iranian rice with a Tamam pie will make you want to come back time after time.

The food was great. The indoor space is in a cave style traditional architecture. The prices are reasonable and the location is just perfect. The reason of nor giving 5 stars is that we would expect a bit more professional behaviour/attitude. The waiters were polite but a little out of Cretan hospitality. All in all, we would visit ir again... More

Amazing home made food, tastes like real mama's Greek food at home, excellent service and clean environment. Expensive. Worth a visit.

Delicious healthy, well prepared greek specialties, in an interesting venue. Diagonal from where we stayed, convenient for take out and sitting for lunch at our balcony. Also had dinner and lunch. Recommended

I have been visiting Tamam restaurant since 1997 for almost every summer. It is my favorite place, its cuisine has influences from Cretan, middle east and international cuisine. Great dishes and great enviroment, specially the initial space which used to be a hamam I think. During August, is very crowded so book in advance, it will save you loads of... More

Tamam restaurant isn't on t he water front, so for this reason, you might miss it if you were only in Chania for a short stay. Equally, fish is not its speciality, but rather more meat and venegtable local dishes. But what dishes these are! in a 4 days stay we ended up in Tamam twice. The restaurant is on... More

Came highly recommend by an expat living in Crete, once you find Starbucks by the harbor it is just up the street. We sat outside on the small walkway. Started off wth the Tamam Salad, it was topped with a avocado puree that was very and followed by a Lamb with egg plant puree....very good too. House white made it... More
