Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

From the first glass of wine, taken slowly whilst watching the sun slowly disappear behind the most amazing sea-scape. We were on the rooftop terrace, the noisy Hubble of Chanias tourist buzz could not be heard. We then descended into the dining room, an artful...reserved decor, our food was both delightful and imaginative, a far cry from the Taverna style of fayre. We opted for wines by the glass to accompany our various dishes - we were expertly nursed along by the very knowledgeable sommelier. All in all, you just have to try it to experience the difference this place has to offer.More

Mostly wonderful Greek ingredients with a French way of preparation. The selection and knowledge of Greek wines was great.

Vent to Oinoa with my wife last night. Decided for 2 starters and a main course to share. We chose Duck breast, Foie Gras and Lamb Tenderloin. WoW …. We have been served a lot of good food in Chania over the years and what...we were served last nigh is amongst the absolute best. Excellent food - plesant and knowledgeable waiter. Go there and taste - you will be thrilled!More

Choose this place on Trip Advisor. Have to agree with all those people who gave this restaurant 5 stars. The food, atmosphere, and especially service were exceptional. The waitress was not just a great server but also had a very deep knowledge of wines. Her...pairing with dishes suggestions was fantastic!More

Had a wonderful time here, tasting excellent Grecian wines recommended by the proprietor, eating tuna tartar and mushroom bruschetta, and watching the world go by. Recommend highly for a relaxing and delicious end your day.

Looking for somewhere for a spot of lunch and Oinoa had a table outside so I decided to try it and I'm so glad I did. This place offers a great selection of local beers and an even wider wine menu with many options available...but the glass. While the drinks are good the food is sublime. The mushroom bruschetta was a real highlight and the tuna tartare so fresh and light. It's only a shame that I didn't discover this place until my last day in Chania.More

For us, this is some of the best cooking in Chania. There is also an extensive wine list with several interesting ones available by the glass. Friendly, efficient service.

My husband and I loved our evening here. The food was really delicious with delicate but distinctive flavours. Our waiter (and we are both so annoyed we forgot to ask his name) was wonderful, really knowledgeable and interesting. We asked for his recommendations for wine...(by the glass) with each of our courses and all of them were so well chosen. I had ceviche and sea bass, my husband had the prosciutto salad and the pork. Our waiter/sommelier also introduced us to a fabulous liquor which smelt like a Molton Brown soap (that's a good thing!) but tasted fabulous. Our last night in Crete and the best way to spend it. It's a gorgeous building too!More

Overall an excellent ‘fine dining’ experience. The high quality of the food and the wine, the curtesy and the attentiveness of the staff were as you would expect of a restaurant such as this. The attention to detail was particularly noteworthy: - the presentation of...the menu card and of the wine list - the range of tastes and flavours in all the dishes, starter, main course and deserts. - the knowledge displayed by the staff in the wine list and in their pairing suggestions - the manner in which they dealt with particular dietary requirements. We have now been at this restaurant on three occasions and we look forward to a return visit during our next visit to Chania.More

It was my first visit here and I left completely satisfied after an exquisite meal and expert wine pairing from a very qualified sommelier. I trusted in them to bring me what they saw fit. From the carpaccio to the tuna tartare. I couldn’t fault...any dish they bought over. The desert was to die for and paired with an amazing desert wine. The staff were so knowledgeable and super friendly. I will 100% return. Well done Oinoa keep up the good work.More

Me and my girlfriend went to Oinoa restaurant yesterday, we had no reservation. Since the welcoming we were very well received by a lady who found a very cozy space for us. The food was divinal and the wine pairing as well. A big thanks...to the waiter that served us , very good knowledge about the wines and the regions. For sure we will come back. One of the best parts was the dessert!!! Mille fuelle (not sure how to write 😃) but it was amazing, the flavors everything. Thank you for the night!More

Four of us had dinner with wine pairing selected by the sommelier. The entire experience was amazing. First we were sat on the upstairs patio which is lovely with a breeze overlooking the water. It is a lovely setting. Our meals ranged from fish to...pasta to veal. We argued over who had made the best selection. Let’s just say that no one felt as though they had lost. My opinion is that the shellfish was especially exquisite. Deserts were lovely and those wine pairings were fun, as well. The winning wine was a Greek Rose that we all decided we wanted a case of, alas we couldn’t find it anywhere! We Loved this restaurant. You will not go wrong.More

Hi! Children are welcome early evening. The only problem is that we don’t offer children menu. Oinoa is a wine bar restaurant and offers a large wine menu and fine dining. Kind regards Oinoa team
