One of the best places that we have been to on the island when it comes to food. Goat, local wine, big portions, tasty.

A friendly, warm welcome, good local wine and authentic Cretan food - a good mixture of local people and tourists creating a relaxed atmosphere

For EUR 22 10% service included, I had a wonderful experience at Chrisostomos: - 5 deliciously roasted on charcoal lamb chops from Crete with French fries and rice, staminagati (local wild salad), quarter liter average Cabernet wine from Chania, 4 fried donuts with sesame, honey and raki. - the service was outstanding and very professional! - now, mark my words,... The wind was really whipping up and rain descending when we managed to find shelter in this restaurant. We really enjoyed our dinner, there was a nice local ambience (not a touristy vibe), and the atmosphere was comfortable and pleasant.

We arrived in a rainy windswept evening and the minute we walked in we felt welcome and cosy. A really busy restaurant packed with local people - a good sign that we were in an excellent restaurant. Great food featuring dishes baked in their wood fired oven, lovely home made bread all polished off with excellent service. A lovely experience... More

We visited the restaurant on a Saturday for lunch. Food was very tasty and we have 3-4 plates. The restaurant staff was a bit distracted but it was very busy and it seemed they did not have as many waiters as they should. However we did enjoyed are meal. At the end they offer tsikoudia, a traditional beverage of Crete.... More

This restaurant sure worth a visit, as it offers Cretan cuisine at very logical prices. The atmosphere is nice and the service is polite. For weekends a reservation is necessary.

For the record: the food was okay! I had lambchops and the housesalad. But for me it was the normal Greek cuisine like almost everywhere else. Did not had the Wow! feeling so I do not understand the hype... The 3 star review is therefore based on the very high expectations I had...

One of the best meals we had in Chania. We tried the lamb, pork chops, zucchini balls and the Chrysostomos salad and everything was delicious, Besides their regular menu, every day they serve different specialities. The honey balls they serve at the end of the meal are perfect!

We come here over and over again. Why?Because of the quality of the food and the way they cook it.Here you will find the real cretan recipes with olive oil.So at first the server will bring the famous homemade bread. Then you will taste the best mushrooms with vegetables and the fine 'tsigariasto' goat.Take the server's opinion on the menu.I will come...
