We were very hungry, so we made a stop. We emptied our dishes, but food is home made, but tasteless. Very friendly staff, but slow service and dirty tables and floor, screaming children running up and down the place, not letting you relax and enjoy. Very noisy. There are more interesting places around the small streets of the old port... More

We ordered Lasagna and pasta with roasted vegetables. WHOA. Talk about shocked. CRAZY good. They were delicious! It is cafeteria style dining, nothing fancy (go look at what they have cooked for the day and pick what you want).... the food itself looks like nothing special. ...but man we were wrong. So full of flavor and high quality ingredients, we... More

Holy moly is this restaurant incredible. I'll start with a bit about the place. Located on a quiet street, they have a beautiful space with a bit of seating out front, plenty inside, and backyard. They have a daily rotating menu, all of which looked fantastic. I believe they also have a standard menu you can order off of, but... More

Even though we were there in off-seasons the place was packed at lunchtime, presumably mostly local guests. Instead of a menu on paper you have everything written on a wall, with or without english translation. But that's fine as you can go and look what everything is, and the waiters explain it as well. Everything looked good so it was... More

Very traditional mama's style greek food, good ingredients and nice youthful vibe. Great porch hidden in the back. Great prices. Could eat there every day.

Was recommended this by our apartment manager, 5 min. wait to get a seat at 15.00 on a very busy (national holiday) and rainy day, still had a good choice of menu, had to eat quickly as the food is served warm rather than hot. Four dishes, bread & olives, free sweet but missed out on the raki, 2 beers... More

We came here for lunch during walking in the town. The place is very easy to find. The interesting part of the restaurant is that you can order many pre-cooked food just like in the school or company canteen . They will open the big pan of the food to explain what it is to you one by one. Of... More

A bit noisy but the food is definitely worth it. Best dish we had: green beans, white beans and zucchini stew.

We went here twice. The first time we had just arrived in Chania and we were looking forward to lunch. It was around 3pm and not very crowded. Trying to catch a waiters eye was next to impossible and when I finally stood up to ask one if we could give them our order the answer was a hand up... More

Down a side street, easy to walk past, but well worth finding. Little shady courtyard out the back, rickety tables and chairs, but the most authentic Cretan cooking we ate all week. Daily specials on the blackboard, and they will show you the pots to choose from. Fantastic octopus with pasta; my wife had a slice of cheese and broccoli... More
