A short walk away from the crowded tourist traps we found this gem of a restaurant. Lots of tourists stopping by just to take a picture of the garden like open air serving area. Small and romantic. We went for dinner early, a bit before...the rush hour with reserved tables. Seems like family run w mama in the kitchen and family on the floor. Extremely warm and friendly, nice well made dishes. Some good local wine to the tasty dishes and a nice surprise as a small dessert was included. 10/10 will eat here again!More

Let's start with the fact that we booked a place in advance. Even so, from the moment we sat down, the waiters gave us an unpleasant feeling that they were waiting for us to go and clear the table for other customers. In addition, the...waiter recommended us the "special dish" of the day, chicken with potatoes. The only thing that was special about this dish was that it was shocking. The chicken parts are dry and inedible, and the potatoes were overcooked and swimming in oil. Do not recommend getting there. big disappointment.More

Three stars do not really do justice to this venue, which at its best can be sheer delight, and at its worst is really annoying and frustrating. Situated within a roofless space, it proclaims itself to be a live music venue, usually featuring a bouzouki....The music can be very good - sometimes it is not. The food is the usual Cretan fare, with one or two original touches. The real problem I think is with the staff, who appear to be untrained and unsupervised. Some of the time they mill around uselessly, but when you want them they are often hard to find. On a recent visit for example, when I queried why I had not been served a dessert and the usual Cretan complimentary raki at the end of the meal, I was told the waiter had simply forgotten to bring it. What this place needs is a good manager, present on the spot.More

There is nothing wrong with the location of this restaurant. Located in the middle of a neigborhood of the old Chania it provides a good atmosphere for the greek cuisine served there. The food was good, but the "spicy" stew I was served was quite...bland. Not good enough for one of the daily Specials. Companion was satisfied with local sausages. Although the service was OK, it seemed to us that the waiters were bored to tears. There was no connection. The staff was so geared to cater for foreign tourists that they did not even react to my quite passable Greek (in this context), and only answered in English. The live music was excellent! We would have stayed longer, but companion had a date with waffles and ice cream in the old port.More

We went and had a very mediocre lunch. It smelt disgusting as tasted as bad as it smelt. We were expecting the local salad to be full of cheese, olives etc but it was mouldy leaf salad with a vinaigrette and a few shavings of...cheese on top.More

Pretty terrace/garden in the middle of the Old town Chania, the food is correct but not so tasty. The service was way too fast between the starters and the main course (it makes you feel they just want you out of there as fast as...possible). You can definitely find better value for money in more local places up the mountains or elsewhere in town. Let’s put it this way: if your good with a touristic interpretation of Cretan food in a nice location, go for it, BUT if you want to feel a real Cretan soul with the tangible desire to host you in the best possible way, then head towards the next door.More

Maybe the fastest service I have seen. We were looking for a couple's chill dinner night and that's what we found. Romantic lighting from the fortress walls at the opposite road side. The waiters were very friendly. Food was tasteful and reasonably priced. Could see...myself visiting again or recommending.More
