water served was free but tasted of something strange (like purified tapped water - in wine-language you might say: petrol-tones) - why not bottled water with pure taste in a wine bar? vidiano (local grape) of famous cretan winery. cuvee - vianna? and malvasia of...More

Stopped here one night for a glass of wine. Instead of just serving us just anything we were asked what kind of wines we liked and we were recommended lovely cretan wines at a very reasonable price. To add to the experience we were served...More

The place is perfect if you want to discover cretan wines and enjoy a conversation with a very friendly owner. You'll be able to eat some nice appetizers along with your drinks while watching old walls from Chania

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful wine tasting experience. We couldn't ask for more knowledgable hosts who introduced us to Cretan wines- now among our favorites. They also served a delicious plate of local specialties. A warm and welcoming place.

It's nice to sit perched up on the street and people watch. Service was very nice. We just didn't think the wines by the glass were particularly amazing. We had been wanting to have some good wine and we thought it was just OK here.

This is pure delight. Perched on the high pavement close to and behind Chania's orthodox cathedral, this is more of a sophisticated tapas bar than a fully-fledged restaurant. Which is fine because after a few days in this striking and ancient city, one is likely...More

Fiali means Bottle. In the old town of Chania in a turkish bulding of 1819 we create a small relaxing wine bar at sifaka street inside the old town of chania,we serve bottled Cretan wine with salads, cheese and delicatessen, cold plates that goes with the wine all from small producers as we suport the local market. The menu changes often because we use season-local products. The sounds of our music is jazz - ethic -bossa nova.
