Commanding one of the best locations looking over the sea, this restaurant provides relaxed and unpretentious local and regional food for all budgets. Comfortable chairs under sun umbrellas protect the guests from the sun, whilst allowing complete relaxation. I highly recommend the fresh fish and the salads. The whole team is friendly and professional with a collective sense of humour that makes you want to return agin and again. A special mention for the lovely barmaid, Silvana, working 'behind the scenes' providing the drinks - what a delightful person she is :) All in all, a super place - don't go anywhere else - this is the best!

We had a great dinner last week. I loved the view, that I have eaten so closed to the sea. The food was great. For starters We ordered stuffed vine leaves, the best I have ever eaten and pita bread, of course and then pasta with zucchini for me and for my husband pasta with shrimps.

We came into town searching for a place to eat. We came across this place that was right at the docks; we were offered a table next to the water. We were starving, and the waiter (who spoke fluent Greek, English AND German at least) offered us this mix of meat smoked in front of us. The thing looked amazing, so much so that people walking by or sitting nearby took pictures and were literally envious! Two pounds of pure pleasure <3

Our experience could have been better. The waiter was sarcastic and gave the distinct impression that he would rather have been somewhere else. The waitress who sadly only came once to our table was lovely. The food was very average. Cold, and I mean cold vegetables is not something I really like having with a hot meal. Meat was not cooked properly. Salad spread across a plate instead of in a dish is not really something I understand. Some people might love this place. We didn't. We didn't consider it good value for money especially after eating in other restaurants in the area afterwards.

We found this restaurant on our first day, when we went for lunch. We were so impressed with the location, traditional food and service, we booked it again for dinner the following evening. Needless to say we’ll be returning for a 3rd visit before we leave!

We had dinner here and enjoyed the dacos (very different to what you find elsewhere, really worth trying and very filling, could be all you eat if you are not super hungry). We had the fried cheese in almond crust which we wouldn't have again, it was ok but lacked of taste. The seasonal wild veggies were excellent, very bitter, we loved them. We shared the red snapper (650gr) grilled and it was great too, served with veggies and parsnip pure. A glass of house wine. All for 52 euros. The place is lovely, the view fantastic but it felt a bit more mainstream and less authentic and less personality than the traditional tavernas in the area. Still the food was very good and the service professional.

A truly beautiful location, view, noise and smell of the sea, what more could you ask for? Dinner with my partner based on fish, excellent, portions in the right quantity, excellent wine and kind and attentive service, despite it being full, we waited for the right time while sipping white wine and various appetizers...... Price normal given the location and quality of the food We will definitely return

I was new to Crete and to strumble across this wonderful restaurant in Ierapetra was such a welcome surprise. I chose the Kritharoto with cuttlefish and cuttlefish ink because 1) I had no idea what kritharoto was and 2) I loved calamares en su tinta in Spain. It was simply divine. Each mouthful had a flavoursome intensity that I shall never forget. My girlfriend's Manouri cheese was amazing too. This restaurant is understated and doesn't really stand out from any other along the beach. However, I think the standard of food is incredible and a definite destination restaurant to try if you are in that part of Crete. In some ways, the tastes from that dish of cuttlefish will last for many years and be one of the highlights of my first visit to Crete.

We stayed in Ierapetra for 4 days, we came to Zorbas the first night and the food was so good we had to come back every other night that we were here. We tried the different meats and seafood they had on the menu and each meal was as good as the next. The tables by the views provided a beautiful ambiance to our amazing meals and the staff made us feel so comfortable and welcome, we couldn’t recommend Zorbas more!

We stayed in Ierapetra on August 27 and we found this restaurant a few meters from our hotel. The service was very accurate and the food good. The waiter suggested us the wine which reveals itself very good according to our requests. The bill was on average to the prices in this part of the island.

We wanted to try a traditional Cretan cuisine and Zorba's was recommended and we were not disappointed! Lovely service and the way the dishes were served. A great choice of meze that allowed us to try different things and delicious local wine. We will definitely visit again if in the area :-)

This location is fantastic! The ambiance is relaxed and pleasant, while the employees are extremely amiable. They're knowledgeable and proficient, clearly prioritizing customer satisfaction. The cuisine is quite enjoyable, and considering their prices, it's absolutely worthwhile.

During our visit we had dinner 3 times at Zorbas. Delicious food at the seaside, with gentle breeze cooling us off after a hot day. Lovely owners serve clients themselves, you get service also in perfect French. Apart from this I wish to share an important detail of the level of care for customers: We bought boat tickets to the famous Chrissi Island from the owner, Mr Dimitris. It turned out that the boat company had changed the departure time without prior notice, and we lost the boat. Dimitris himself went to the port, and arranged so that one of the other (fully booked) boats accepted us on-board. The price of the tickets for this boat were higher that the ones we lost, but Dimitrios did not accept my offer to pay for the difference. In other words, without his intervention we would have lost the unique visit to the island. Where else do you get this kind of attention and care?? Markus & family (Finland)

Beautiful seaside restaurant, charming servers and a friendly welcome to our family of 4 adults, a 4 year old and a 1 year old both excited to be out late every night. Delicious food. Our favourites beef carpaccio, prawns with orzo in saffron sauce lots of lovely fish, steaks and traditional Greek dishes. Draught beer, great g+t’s and lovely dry rose. Great children’s menu with kids cocktail. What more can I say....Thank you to our server Alexandria for looking after us. If you’re in the area it’s well worth a visit.

The food. The view. The friendliness. We had an unforgettable lunch here. The food is amazing, make sure you are very hungry and order a lot of different dishes. Its all delicious! The location right on the water is so beautiful. And the staff is amazing, the friendly lady serving us seemed to speak any language, she spoke English, German, French... Next time we go to Crete we will go to Ierapetra again only to eat here.
