The restaurant is on the site where once stood a Venetian building which was linked to the residence on the south side through a doorway. It is believed that where the covered dining area stands was once a large storeroom and animal stable. The dining courtyard was indeed a courtyard and animal feeding area. In 2003 the chef and owner Harris Pavlakis decided to open the restaurant. Our restaurant is certificated for Cretan Cuisine from The Greek Academy Of Taste and has participated in three contests of Traditional Cretan Cuisine in the last three years and has won twice…
Final meal in Crete and was very nice. Moussaka and lamb clay pot. Staff were very friendly, setting was lovely. Advised them we were not keen on raki so they brought out a home made liquor....very nice
We have not eaten any poor meals while on Crete however the meal at To Pigadi was absolutely superb.
The setting, in a small courtyard off the street in the old town is quirky and stylish.
The welcome is typically friendly and warm.

One of our favourite restaurants in Rethymno. The food is delicious especially the lamb chops! Lovely courtyard setting with some a fab electric mix of industrial farming equipment displayed on the walls - well worth booking a table!
I had the best tuna fish ever. The setting is charming. It is usually busy, but the atmosphere is very good. The stuff is very friendly and helpful. I had an excellent experience and I would gladly return.
The Pigadi was honoured with our second visit of our weeks holiday. We always go back on our last night to our favourite restaurant of the week and the Pigadi was our choice. The food is amazing the staff are very friendly and helpful from...More
