Unfortunately the upmarket wine bar bistro concept didn't take off. Tire Bouchon has now rebranded somewhat down market. It's a shame as it was a lovely place. Still under the same ownership but now more souvlaki taverna than bistro.

This restaurant is situated on a back street behind St. Mark square in Zante town. It is a good place if you want to avoid the crowds and dine in a nice garden enviroment in the town. Food was tasty. Service average during busy periods.

Great food and terrific wines in a beautiful and quiet garden. After 3 weeks island hopping through the Ionian islands we finally found a restaurant that doesn't serve the standard tourist fare. The food is fresh and original; we had pork souvlaki with plums &...More

June 2014 my wife and I were in Zakynthos town and looking for a non-tourist restaurant to have a good, quite and affordable dinner. We happened upon the Tire Bouchon. What a pleasant surprise. Highly recommend this off the tourist trail but right in town.
