We've been in this restaurant a dozen times, either with friends or with family and we can't get enough of it! Kind and efficient service, delicious dishes and cozy atmosphere! It is one of our top choices in Thessaloniki and it never disappoints! Good for take out as well! Fantastic seafood, great fried cod and all that at a very reasonable... More

Ta Koumparakia is one of the oldest restaurant of Thessaloniki. Hidden behind a Byzantine church of the 13th century, this place keeps the standards of taste really high. Every time we go we try different things usually from the plates of the day and sometimes we don't even order but we let the chef Christos who is also the owner... More

We were expecting something pretty special based on the other reviews, but Ta Koumparakia exceeded our expectations. The location with the little gingerbread church right next to it is unique, the food was great and the staff were so friendly. It was a shame we were only in Thessaloniki for one day so couldn't go back again!

Hidden behind this church, tasteful and also little restaurant with two spaces (inside the building corner and outside) smoothly combined. We ate two salads (don't... More

Sometimes you can just look at a restaurant and immediately understand that it is going to be good, ta Koumparakia is that kind of restaurant. Excellent, delicious, traditional Greek food in the most charming setting overlooking the jewel box 10c. AD Church of the Sotiros. The taramosalata, some of the best I've ever had, delicious horta and beet root salad.... More

I have to admit that "ta Koumparakia" is one of my favorite places to eat in Thessaloniki, an opinion that has been gradually shaped since I've been more than 50 times there over the past 3 years. What made me shape this opinion is the continuous improvement of this little restaurant's quality, food style, flavors and ideas without though losing... More
