We went to Terkenlis and tried various delicasies. Amazing taste! What we loved the most is the Tsoureki with chestnut

The first item I ordered, the lasagna, was almost without flavor. I took one bite and took it back, asking to be refunded, or to be provided with something else. It was perhaps the most bland food that I can remember tasting in a restaurant in my whole life. The waitress brought me something else politely. I chose a pork... More

While visiting Thessaloniki you definately have to get one of the famous tsoureki from Terkenlis, this small always packed patisserie. Passing in front of the store on Tsimiski street you will definately smell it before you see it. Plain, chocolate covered, chestnut cream, you name it. The rest of the products are not worth mentioning, so stick with the tsoureki

I ordered a tsoureki for my dad's birthday and it was delicious. The staff was super helpful and nice, they called me the day after I got the cake to ask if everything was ok. I gave 10 stars if it would be possible.

If you happen to be in Thessaloniki, make sure to find time and visit Terkenlis 1948. It's heaven on Earth for dessert lovers with some good savoury snacks, too. It's been recommended to us and after visiting it on few occasions in August 2016 during our tour or Northern Greece, we recommend it to you. We tried the famous tsoureki,... More

Although most of the goods are exported, it is outstanding to eat what you like in the core of its production the most famous tsoureki all over Greece. And the one to rule them all is the famous one with the chestnut cream filling. And to highlight the flavour a genuine freddo Capuccino from Aristotelous is the best company. And... More

Best street food in Thesaloniki. Great coffee and testy cakes. At several location in Thesaloniki, the best one is on Aristotelous Square.

Terkenlis is justifiably famous for its fabulous tsoureki- a bread like challah rich in eggs and butter and just sweet enough. They also have filled tsoureki- the chestnut is particularly delicious- and many other classic offerings. But the tsoureki will lure you there- the scent fills the ceneter of town.
