This bodega serves good traditional danish food a few steps away from the University of Copenhagen. Since you are not in the center of Copenhagen, the prices are very decent. The smörrebröd are all very good, but two is enough if you are an average eater. Good service and very nice coysy atmosphere.

Very cheap and decent food - and not to forget a superb billard table. Cheap beer as well, should it interest anyone...

The 1st of January 2013, Boulevard Bodega was bought and taken over by Marianne Skalka Ditlevsen. Alongside with her husband, Kenneth Ditlevsen, they run the place with love, humour and an openness, which you'll rarely find in todays modern Denmark. In 2015 the word "Bodega" was removed and "The Boulevard" was introduced instead, as the owners wanted to become more of a restaurant, than being associated with a traditional Danish tavern.

At The Boulevard you will come to experience that both the waiter and the chef have a relaxed yet still professional approach to running a restaurant. A cheeky comment from either is not something you should be offended by, on the contrary we welcome you to participate in the family-like environment, which you will come to experience. It is pillar in the business, that we provide a relaxed and cozy environment for our guests without compromising on the quality of the food.
Boulevarden is a classic danish cuisine, so the food produced here will be just like Danish mothers used to make for their children half a decade ago. You will not only dine like a dane, but you will get the full on experience of Denmark, as you sit in our dining room, which is painted, wall to wall, with all the beautiful places, Copenhagen has to offer. These paintings are not to be touched, as the Ministry of Culture has declared them a local heritage of Amager, a thing we are very proud of. Don't hesitate, make a reservation today and come experience our beloved restaurant.

Staying in Christianshavn

Neighbourhood Profile
Just across one of the many bridges from Indre By, you’ll find Christianshavn. An eclectic area with old brick lanes, houses dating back to the 16th century, and canals which are home to many boats and ships, some of which has been turned into restaurants or even serve as fully furnished homes. The best known attraction in Chistianshavn is Christiania, a “free town” of residents who squat on a former military area. However just a stone’s throw away from Christiania, you’ll find some of the most fashionable waterfront apartment buildings in Copenhagen as well as the splendid Royal Opera House.
