Dinner at The Olive was pleasantly surprising. Affordable by Copenhagen standards and offering well portioned entrees, The Olive has a broad and eclectic menu. A little off of the beaten tourism tract, the restaurant was filled with locals and tourists alike. Be sure to make...a reservation.More

We went for the tasting menu with the wine pairing and really enjoyed it. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and a very relaxing evening overall. The portions were surprisingly big on the tasting menu so you definitely won’t go hungry!!

Great restaurant, food was well cooked and staff were firendly and helpful. More importantly they either had gluten free meals or could generally adapt meals to suit. Went back 3 times in the 4 days we were in Copengagen it was that good.

We had a fantastic meal. It’s a lovely little restaurant that really makes you feel welcome. The food was excellent as was the wine list. The service really sets the place apart. Really attentive and knowledgeable about the food and ingredients. Please don’t hesitate to...try it. You won’t regret it.More

Were to start! I would recommend booking as this is a busy little place. The staff were very helpful when we had not booked on our first night. The decor sets the very cosy atmosphere. As I said before the staff were very helpful and...courteous. The menu is small but perfect. For starters we had the ribs and the blue mussels. Absolutely divine. The waiting staff also give a short presentation about the food, which was a nice touch. For mains we had the steak, chicken and sea bass. Again outstanding. The same can be said with the cheesecake dessert. The whole experience was so good we went back the next night. A hidden gem, that I can’t recommend highly enough.More

We found this place by chance and were able to get a table without having booked (might not be the case in the summer). The atmosphere was cosy and inviting. The food was great and reasonably priced. It was beautifully presented and delicious. The serving...staff explained each dish as it was served and I considered it to be the equivalent of fine dining but more relaxed and without the attitude than in many restaurants. We had a great evening.More

Went to its sister restaurant the day before and loved that so much we thought we’d give this one a try. Once again you had to book - every table was full. The minimal menu indicates care and quality can be and will be taken...with the food. The waiters are knowledgeable and were on hand to talk you through the menu. Mussels again to start and these were amazing. My wife had the soup and was equally impressed. Salmon for my main and it was cooked to perfection. Served with a delicious pea puree and some seasonal veg. Nothing too heavy but do full of flavour. Another perfect evening. Given general prices in Copenhagen and the quality of good, I’d say the price was reasonable. Just over £50 per head.More

Absolutely phenomenal food and service. We booked a table for 8:45pm on a Sunday evening. When we arrived, the place was full and buzzy (in a great way) - candlelit tables and a very intimate but atmospheric setting. We were greeted by a friendly member...of staff who showed us to our table and was attentive throughout the evening. I had the mango cocktail and the peppercorn steak and both were INCREDIBLE. Followed by delicious coffees to round off the evening. The whole experience felt so effortlessly stylish and relaxed, and the prices were more than reasonable. 5 stars from me and we will definitely be back.More

Excellent restaurant and friendly staff. Food was top class. Salted pork ribs was simple but excellent. Steak was gorgeous with a lovely mash and pepper sauce. Crème brûlée for dessert. Couldn’t beat it.

Inside is very relaxed and cosy. Service was good. Enjoyed the food. Only issue was the size of the steak, so small. Looking at the last review, the amount of steak is about double what I was served, so maybe a bit unlucky! Small menu...so may return if it changes.More

A lovely small restaurant. Despite this Tables set sufficiently far apart that guests not on top of each other and could hear each other talk. The ambience was good. Decor was simple. The menu is small but sufficient to choose from. Also two tasting menus...are available with accompanying wine. Value very good for Copenhagen with food of this quality especially as sides are not needed. You can book for quick eats (90 minutes) or more leisurely ( 135 minutes) . Even the 90 would have felt unhurried and with the longer we just sat and chatted over coffee. Staff were young but helpful. Kept checking in without hurrying us. Explained what was on our plates. Personally, too many capers with the Parmesan chicken. Overall a good meal and lovely evening. Make sure you reserve. Walk ins will be hard to get table.More

It's quite a casual place, so don't think there'll be an issue with well-behaved kids :)
