This is a lovely traditional riverside pub restaurant. We had a really warm welcome and felt immediately at home with the charming atmosphere. We had fresh crab with salad which was excellent. Some good beers too. We will certainly eat there again.

The pub does allow dogs and so does Coldham hall which is also in Surlingham village. Both pubs are by the waters edge and both do good food. If eating two nights go to both. If eating one night I would choose Coldham hall.

Description
The Ferry House on the bank of the river Yare with beer garden and mooring points right outside. A British pub at its best with reasonably priced, rollicking good wholesome pub grub - very large portions ask for wimp size!
