We took visiting friends here for breakfast. You place your order at the counter after finding a table. The service is a tiny bit slow but it was very busy. The drinks came out about 10 mins before the food. The food is good and...More

Been coming here for years but hadnt been for a while, I ordered the smoked salmon and eggs and my partner the full breakfast. When it arrived I had 5 very small pieces of salmon which for the price seemed unreasonable and my partners looked...More

I had myself a lovely turkey sandwich and wife had a cheesy chutney one which she liked a lot. Cuppa tea was gorgeous and we'll visit again as soon as our bicycle's are fixed. Superb

I highly recommend this cafe. Visited on many occasions, always get a warm welcome. Great choice of food that never disappoints. After your meal visit the deli for some great offers. The butchers counter is a particular favourite.

We've visited a few times over the year and it's great to see a local business expand so quickly and invest in the local area. A nice local eatery with a good ranging menu with a great shop and various counters selling farm-made produce. Ample...More

Good lunch with a lady friend of mine. The food here is always good, all be it a tad expensive. Two mains and two sweets just under £30.00. I suppose it's because we often pay around £ 20/ £22 for pub grub that makes it...More

We were recommended to go here and we can see why. It's a lovely place, excellent cafe (I've just polished off a goat's cheese and walnut salad with beetroot relish). The shop is well-stocked with good quality farm food and other produce. There are other...More

We stopped off here before a short bike ride along the Churnet Valley Cycleway, the quality of the gifts in the shop seemed excellent and have to say the sausage rolls were the best we've ever had. The cafe was full which can't be a...More

Fancy a 'proper' cup of tea and a big slice of our famous courgette cake whilst you relax in the big comfy sofas by the log burning stove? Or, a jug of Pimms to share with friends under a parasol in the new outdoor area? Are you feeling peckish? How about a full English before 12 noon, or homemade soup and a sandwich from our kitchen between 12-3? Have we twisted your arm? Ooh good, come on in to our new 85 seater café area... Café Reservations: When planning a visit to our Café at lunchtime (or for a special event such as Mother's Day/Father's Day) we strongly recommend that you call ahead or pop in and make a reservation. We are usually busy over lunchtimes and we don't want to disappoint.
