Situated in the cosy old town in Stockholm this restaurant really offers something special. From the warm welcome to the presentation of food and wine to the marvelous tasting this is an extraordinary experience. They really earn their two stars and I must say it...More

Let's start by acknowledging that the restaurant is expensive. But if you've done your research you already know that. 2500 SEK set menu. Moving beyond that, the restaurant is excellent. Deserving of its 2 stars. We had an excellent meal at the kitchen table. The...More

Franzen is a small restaurant in the old town. The tables are well spaced- there were probably 16 people there including those at the bar. The whole restaurant smelt delicious- mainly of lamb. The meal was awesome with a lot of seafood from Norway and...More

An absolutely perfect meal at frantzen' kitchen table last nite with great wine pairings. The attention to 'perfection' was so obvious sitting right at the kitchen. Every member of the team worked to be sure every aspect was meticulously done. Courses were beautiful as well...More

Amazing. I think that word sums it up. Without a doubt, the best food experience I have ever had. I have dined at some fantastic places, but if you compare this to other top quality restaurants...it holds its own and then some. The food was...More

Sumptuous multi-course meal focusing on local ingredients with a slight Asian cuisine flair. Memorable meal and superb service.

Being greeted by your name and country of origin by the doorman in top hat was a fun and friendly start. Sitting at the bar watching the creative geniuses do their thing ...plus explaining what they were doing and answering questions added to the experience....More

The welcome from the doorman Roland was a friendly surprise, pronouncing my husband's name accurately. No stranger can do that back in the UK. Upon being seated, the ambience felt like dining at a friend's home, albeit with other diners present. It was cosy, intimate,...More

The restaurant was recommended by everyone. It closes from July 15 to August 15. Not sure if this is an every year occurrence. Was really looking forward to trying this cuisine. Too bad maybe next time.

Not an obvious Michelin starred restaurant from the outside but once you have been wowed by the doorman and ushered inside then the food and spectacle is excellent. Not cheap hut you really have to treat this as an experience and not just for satisfying...More

Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home
to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central
island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small
island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous
Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit
touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting:
take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and
through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest)
