They have a great selection of beers. However trying to get served is a nightmare. The second visit we walked out after being ignored at the bar. Very expensive you'll find better bars.

Where short visit here with friends to drink well on a Saturday night; gave a clean impression and were treated well by the wait staff! Decent selection of beers and spirits, but a little worse for wine. Good centrally located on the lower Vasastan close to the city and restaurant area around Tegnergatan.

It felt like walking onto the set of Eastenders - a real old fashioned English pub, good choice of beers & wines - reasonable prices, did food too

The Queens Head calls itself a gastro pub and looks like up-scale. But during my visits service has been very slow and the food totally forgettable. During my last visit I had meatballs with mash and lingonberries, a Swedish classic. But it costs SEK205 and tasted absolutely nothing, I can get a better meatball dish at any hot dog stand... More

Been there a few times every year and finally giving it a review. Great selection of beers, lots of staff to help, always full and vibrant, nice English interior and unexpectedly good food. Cozy "library" room in the back.

After an extensive search for a place to eat, we settled on the Queen's Head. Got a little more than we bargained for. They were out of the Swedish IPA, but we enjoyed a nice Swedish lager. We both ordered Swedish meatballs, mashed potatoes, and lingonberries. The venison meatballs were nice. The place was a little darker than we usually... More

It is a typical Swedish take on the original British pub. Not bad at all but just not the real thing. The food is good for a pub and the sssortment if beer is quite impressive (for a Swedish pub...). The staff is really great. They were very helpful when choosing beer to the food and were generally very nice... More

If you would like to have a good meal with excellent beer or whine to it, go here and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, the friendly and knowable staff (say Hi from me to Robban) :)

Friendly service and good by Swedish standards. Halloumi sandwich was tasty and the kids liked their fish and chips and burger. We sat outside but the interior felt very welcoming and calming after a busy day of being a tourist.

We lived in the area (at Hotel Tegnerlunden) so one evening walking home we decided to stop at this bar. What a great idea! After a long day walking in the rain doing all the tourist stuff it was nice to sit in a place which in some strange way seemed very quiet... Even though they showed a European football... More

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
