How is it possible to have an food treating approval with such a toilet!? The girls struggled to serv the clients whilest the boss or if it was his son doing nothing. At least not cleaning the toilet.

The impression I got from this otherwise normal cafe was inevitably ruined after the visit to the toilet. It smelled absolutely appaling.Cakes were so-so, late was nice. The servise was very friendly.

I went here because the place I wanted to go to was closed. It was a great surprise. The staff was attentive. The cake was good, the coffee quote nice. The atmosphere is bright and cheery. Although I did not eat anything more than cake I observed others and the food seemed quite good.

The guy from the coffee shop was very helpful showing me a menu in different languages. Smiling and happy. Food arrive very quick and was delicious. Atmosphere is mainly family but everyone is quiet. Very recommend this place for breakfast or lunch. In the middle of the old town. Happy to have choose the store.

We were staying 3 doors along from this cafe, yet were recommended a different one for breakfast. However the one we were recommended was empty and had no 'feel' to it, plus very little on offer for breakfast. Then we stumbled upon Cafe Kladdkakan. Lots of fresh pastries, a large selection of juices and drinks plus other options on the... More

Our cruise to Stockholm arrived very early in the morning and we were trying to figure out a place with something to eat as breakfast. This place was open earlier than most cafe places in the old town area. So we decided to have a sandwich and a cup of tea here. When we looked at the cakes, we just... More

Very friendly and nice coffee. Because of the stay in Castanea Old Town Hostel we received a discount on the breakfast. Charmful servants too :)

Ordered a chicken health plate which was healthy, great tasting and filling. The soy latte also tasted excellent. In Stockholm, most of the coffee taste awesome. The price wasn't too expensive either, coming in at a total of 150kr for the meal. Cafe Kladdkakan is more suitable for healthy or small bites with sandwiches and cakes more on offer than... More

Located in the old town section, this is a cute bakery and coffee shop with a few other menu items. Fresh baked goods at a reasonable price.

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
