Excellent food. Impressive selection of beer. The service is good. What more is there to ask on a Sunday? I’ll be back for sure!

We visited the Old Brewer for an early evening meal while we were staying in Stockholm. Easy to book on line and we received a warm welcome when we arrived. Lots of tables inside and some on the street outside. Good selection on the menu...and there was a specials board too The starters and mains were really good and tasty. Unfortunately we were too full to order desserts but they looked lovely. Service was great we were given enough time to choose options and they continued to top up the water bottle without us having to ask. A great experience and we would return next time we visit Stockholm.More
Delicous food, beef wellington was on point! A great variety of beers! Nice people and great service :) A place enjoy a hood evening
I’m not usually a great fan of British style pubs in other countries - but we found this one near our hotel on an evening when we were tired and didn’t want to go further afield. But the food here was excellent - traditional British...dishes (fish and chips, sausage & mash etc) as well as other dishes with a more Swedish flavour. Apparently excellent beer as well (so my husband says). Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. We ended up going back on another night as well.More
We enjoyed incredible service and delicious food on our drinks-after-work-turned-dinner! The bartender suggested great options based on our preferences and we found a few new favorites! The fish and chips were perfect and you know it’s an authentic pub when the malt vinegar is waiting...for you on the table. We’ll be back!More
Enjoyed many Sunday dinners at The Old Brewer and never ever disappointed.. always high quality with great service. The Sunday Roast is quite simply the best roastie I have ever had - and yes it’s bizarre to experience this in Sweden. No it’s not the...cheqpest, but it’s Stockholm - nothing is. Value wise - it’s great and it’s one of my favourite restaurants.. love it.More
Rustic, good selection of beers from near and far. Unusually ambitious menu with a fairly high price level.Alert personnel ready to pour beer.
Pub food with beef , pork , vegetarian and of course, fish&chips! Food is very average made but overpriced! Choice of beer are not more exciting either! My husband followed good reviews and book a table for Sunday dinner but we agreed we won’t come...back here again cause quality of food and service not match price you are paying for!More
Hi Maja, We’re really sorry to read you were not happy with your experience at The Old Brewer. We take pride in our Sunday Roasts which are generally very well received. We’d love to get some more information from you about your experience so if...More
I am staying in Stockholm till just before Xmas, I try to stay away from English food and immerse myself into the local culture and cuisine, however, being a Sunday I did fancy a Sunday roast. I googled and found the old brewer, it was...a mile walk and worth every step. I had pigs in blankets to start, then traditional roast beef and yorkshire pud for mains. It was simply delicious to the point I could have licked my plate. The pigs in blankets were what they were and very nice, the main roast was honestly gorgeous with a nice sauce/gravy. I uploaded a couple of pictures, there were green beans hidden under the beef. Staff were very friendly and just a very nice place, and yes I will go again next Sunday. The only negative I can think of, and this is only for us Brits who pile on the food for a Sunday roast, it's not like back home where you need a sleep afterwards, portion is a la carte size and not what you would serve yourself back home, however, I am not going to knock my score for my greedy insight!! The beef was super tasty and same for the whole meal. Honestly worth visiting, menu looks great and the food was sincerely delicious.More
Definitely the best Fish & Chips in Stockholm. Super friendly staff. Top food and drinks. Been here too many times. Sausage and mash is nice Pies are savage Sunday Roast could have a few more spuds but Amy favorite is the fish and chips. The...new prawns and home made curry sauce is super tasty. Pints are lovely too.More
Such a great place. Lively, to say the least, plenty of people there (=popular) but service was fast and attentive at all times. In general, I think it's rare to find really good and tasty British dishes in pubs/restaurants, but this was really great. Of...course, the drinks were good, with a good selection ... even though the British red wine might not be to my own taste (as I like heavier wines, and that was very light), but we were given the opportunity to test our wines before being served. How much I like that ... then we get what we like. But the food we had was so good. We only tried bangers and the Wellington .. but were all extremely satisfied. The Wellington was so tender, I hardly had to use the knife to cut it :-). Desserts were also great, Sticky toffee pudding was yummy and the Spotted Dick perhaps a bit too British for my friend, but still with a good taste he said. We'll for sure come back :-)More
I can't recommend this place highly enough. We have visited often, both for food and just drinks. The service never falters. Everyone is so friendly and aware of their customers' needs. The food is delicious. Superb spot for all!
We really enjoyed our evening here, we had a lovely meal staff were attentive and friendly, they also have specials that change weekly, definitely worth a visit.
The staff are always delightful and knew me on a first name basis after only a few visits. The menu is updated regularly and the kitchen is outstanding, orders are usually served expediently and taste great. As English beers are generally my favorites I appreciate...the cask ales as well as the generous selection of taps, although you do end up paying a bit more than some other venues nearby, the hospitality and atmosphere more than make up for it. I also can't help but notice that several of the bar staff come here to eat and drink on their own dime and time as well. To me that's a sign of an establishment that takes good care of their own.More
Great food, lovely atmosphere, multiple beer selection options , with dining options indoor or outside
