This was our afternoon coffee and cake stop most days. Good in both respects with a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. Had soup and toast for lunch one day - excellent and you also get unlimited tea/coffee with your meal.

This restaurant looked warm and inviting on a cold night's wander around the cobbled streets of Gamla Stan. Tucked away in a quiet corner it provided a cosy retreat from the cold. Friendly, welcoming staff greeted us. The menu wasn't huge but since I was determined to try an authentic Swedish dish there was only one choice for me. Classic... More

Very cozy and nice little restaurant in Gamla stan! Friendly staff. I went here for breakfast and had a gluten free bread which was nice but maybe a bit too sweet for my taste. I went here again for meatballs and mashed potatoes which were really tasty. Recommended!

We were looking for a gluten free restaurant in the old town, and we found this gem. All the dishes were excellent, and they were able to prepare them gluten-free. Since they are the old town, it was a pleasant place to start a walk about the town.

The restaurant is situated in a very nice locality, and the environment inside the restaurant is cozy especially in winters. The staff was friendly. We made a reservation in advance for about 7 people. There was just only one vegetarian option which was pasta (199 SEK), and so I would say that this restaurant is not very vegetarian friendly. Personally... More

I ordered bryggkaffe and wasn't good، so watery. The location and atmosphere is very good. And the toilet didn't have toilet paper, maybe was an accident because the toilet is clean and good.

Went for dinner saturday evening, after visiting Gamla Stan. Nice food, nothing fancy, even if it could be expected from the menu. However we got a nice meal and the staff was very nice and helpfull.

Staying in Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen

Neighbourhood Profile
Gamla Stan & Riddarholmen
Gamla Stan is Stockholm’s historic old town and home to the Swedish Royal Palace. It’s the most central island of Stockholm and accompanied by the small island of Riddarholmen, mainly known for its famous Riddarholm Church. Gamla Stan tends to be a bit touristy at times but is definitely worth visiting: take a stroll past the well-preserved buildings and through the small (and also Sweden’s narrowest) alleys, which will make you feel like you’ve travelled back in time. This neighborhood offers a great combination of historical buildings and traditional Swedish restaurants.
